hear me out: once this happens the PDA says “New energy signals located on planet. Attempting to establish connections via radio..” then you get a radio signal. Once you go to your radio you get a message from the crewmate that says something like “Survivor, we know you’re the only one alive we know this is reaching you, we got sent out from the pod and fell underwater. Now we hang in the edge of a massive drop. So.. come shortly, please.” And then you get a signal, for a pod right in the edge of the void. You can also get other signals from the other ones

The horizon there looks like it came from the void, which can reasonably fit a gargantuan leviathan. Unless you built your Neptune at the void, I dont think that behemoth of a leviathan would swim all the way to the tight crater for a small snack.

This “alternative” ending is actually quite accurate (minus the gargantuan leviathan) because we know what the degasi is right? It too was shot down by the Quarantine Enforcement Platform and the ship for the degasi was quite small and still survived the energy beam (only 3 out of 12 survived tho) and the sunbeam appears larger than the degasi ship so it too would not blow up but another theory is maybe the bigger the object is the more powerful the beam is, so quite possibly the sunbeam should have never blew up and infact survived only though that they too would crash like the aurora, degasi, and mercury ll. In short this whole ending is accurate minus the gargantuan leviathan
