Honestly i think bfn needed more time it only got one year of updates i mean cod cold war came out in a not so good sate but after a few years is now considered one of the best mondern cods plus we missed out on 3 nee charitors and they may not even attempt to make s nee shooter because they have the impression that if they do something different people wont like it

GW2 updates is the thing (even if it is impossible), the game is ready, it's still expensive but it's the most realistic thing to happen to revive PVZ shooters. And about PVZ3, they are updating the game to put a Battle Pass, Almanac, Multiplayer content, more plants... What I'm trying to say is that they may cook with this game, even if it is bad now, maybe they are doing something, like these Supercell games that are pretty popular. PVZ3 is our only hope for the franchise, maybe it's time to criticize, but not hating.

Tbh that hot take really is spicy, considering Citron can one-shot Imp in BFN using Spin Dash. Ngl, BFN is the game I come back to most. Idk, there's something that gives it a leg up on GW2. Maybe it's the new roster? Also, here's a hot take of my own, though I don't know how much of a hot take it really is. I prefer GW1's artstyle in comparison in GW2. I'm so sick of purple and orange skies. Also, Engie needed his facial hair back, another plus for BFN lol-

I love this game, but I agree that the game’s campaigns feel very short - it only took me a few hours to finish them, and they didn’t really feel significant?

Why I like it because it’s pvz but it’s a shooter.

I think what I would've really wanted from a content update or a new game would be to have more maps for a sense of variety outside of the characters, including recreations of GW1 and GW2 maps with adjustments to the layout to let the new coming characters fit in the map. I remember the reason that the GW2 Characters weren't normally playable in Wall-Nut Hills because they would get stuck in certain parts of the map. Though I do see how that concept would be quite ambitious for a new GW/PvZ Shooter game.

All i will say, is that bfn is the best shooter of the three and i will die on that hill.

I think a garden warfare 2 remaster would be better. Just some updated graphics an anti cheat, more polish, a few new variants and continued support. It doesnt take much more than that.

Freezing cold take here, but idk, in my opinion BFN kinda is not that good and I was never able to understand how to enjoy that game, and the worst is that I actually think I would’ve enjoyed BFN if it kept going, some of the scrapped content actually looked good. Honestly, it would be really cool to see some kind of “BFN 2” improving in what it did wrong, but if we have a practically 0 chance of getting a GW3, I think that definitely is not going to happen.

i see your point, and to a large degree i kind of agree, however i bring up the counterargument: let me cope pleaseeeee 😭😭😭 on a more serious note, i genuinely believe the existing campaigns in BFN would be more fun if you could play as GW characters, so while i see your point about "making a brand new game" i honestly do feel like a lot of what they added for bfn would work for GW characters, sure they could maybe use a retheme, but still as for new variants, they did make the shogun corn, which is close enough to a new variant imo, besides i feel like theres still some untapped potential in variants, especially with the GW2 characters since they all have 6 variants each compared to the GW1 casts' variant count, not to mention making legendary variants for the classic characters that didnt get one like peashooter, sunflower, and cactus, or completing some of the elemental variants, like making an electric all-star or an ice corn all in all, while i do agree that making GW3 today would be uh... not great, i do think that bfn as it is couldve worked better as a GW3

The best option? END THE FRANCHISE ENTIRELY!!!!!!!! This franchise HAS ZERO. GOOD. QUALITIES!!!!!!

In a "perfect world" I would imagine PvZ GW3 as an expansion to GW2(So no BFN characters) mainly in 4 areas: 1) Making sure that each character has at least fire, ice, toxic and an electric variant (there could be more but this one is more realistic to be honest) 2) Adding all maps from GW1 and GW2 plus maybe 1 new turf map and team vanquish map also GW1 maps could be redesigned to fit GW2 characters or put in a "classic mode"(same as Wall Nut Hills in GW2 so only GW1 classes) 3) New story mode 4) More stuff to do in a hub world such as secrets, areas to play around with friends ect.(of course the hub world would look depending on what story GW3 would have) That is if the original team that worked on GW1 and GW2 would work on GW3. And I think that is it. The only downside is that this game would be REALLY big.

I just want GW3 to be like GW2. More variants if they add the characters from BFN, A better hub world
