What battery do I need for my kit, it's a 2000 watt motor and a 48 volt control unit, would a 52 volt battery be ok

Just planning my first build and am finding snobbery about Hub kits everywhere!! Is there a forum where I can gather knowledge where people speak openly about enjoying using Hub kits?

Any reason you opt for hub motors over mid-drive motors?

Smoother, quieter, no clunky gear change, linear smooth power, no changing bb, no shearing cassette teeth or chains, no need to change gears all the time when riding

Don't struggle to get your rear wheel in like this, its hard to watch, get a wooden pallet, cut out the inner timber so your left with a wooden frame or just build a frame ,then put it over the rear end of bike and then attach ratchet straps ether side of frame and stretch ,the easiest way to fit a thight wheel

What did you use to clean the dash and the seats? I have a 1994 T4 1.9 tdi which has had an engine swap from a 1x to a 1z and I need the fuel pump timing doing. Do any of you know of any decent mobile mechanics in the Manchester area who could fix it? Cheers.

Very fast. But I'm surprised that you being a biker would risk going so fast dressed as you were. You obviously have never came off. GRAVEL RASH ISN'T A GOOD LOOK. 🤷😏

Also considering the cables were attached to the top of the battery does that mean you cannot take the battery off the bike??

The speed needs to be governed otherwise we will have cycles overtaking traffic and stopping too fast for other vehicles to react, other measures would need to be in place like protection of the head & body just like a motorcyclist, the problems would be too great too.I'm not for it and you will get that person flouting the rules riding on our paths.

Mid drive are more suited to MTB's. the mid motor is generally more powerful helping you get up the hills to ride the trails down, and the 15mph limit is not a handicap but for a road or gravel bike the hub drive is the better option as you will regularly be pedalling at over the 15mph limit, resulting in far less motor drag.
