How has this cold air intake breather work out for you? I know you put your cold air breather on a year ago. I just put my cold air breather on, not happy at all with this cold air breather. I'll will put my stock air breather back on soon. Some reason since adding this cold air breather, I have lost vaccum in the engine, real bad gas milage, and my transmission shifts down a lot quicker on a hill. Thank you a lot for showing me how to put brackets on my grand cherokee for the cold air breather. If you could, let me know how you like the cold air breather? Thanks Randy!

I switched to rubber joints cause I got a lot of road noise. I'm on the freeway a lot so it works for now. Having issues with vibration and think it's my caster angle on the rear axle. Watching your video to hopefully gain some clarity.

Hey Nate. You inspired me to replace my crossmember. Took me longer than I thought. I reversed the trans mount bolt as well. There was barely any room to work that bolt in.

Just so you know, that wire loom is removable and it’s for the blue power that’s why it’s in there it to put it on your power wire. The ground isn’t supposed to be more than 3ft.

Also that lifter tick is not typical 4.7 stuff that is a warning sign before something happens further down the valve train you will want to get that replaced ASAP and all 8 especially if one is already failed. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gJZ3ZqZynK3DdmQ.html

Thanks for the location as to where the mount goes! All seems well with it so far. As for the lifters, I know the tick isn't good, it's a super common failure on 4.7s. These are actually replacement lifters, and they've ticked ever since we installed them. Yes they were prepped properly before installation. It goes away after a few minutes, then not a sound. Thanks for watching!

That extra bracket that you thought is for the evap Is a middle support bracket it goes right above the alternator and you will need to remove the bolt that is existing it holds the intake stable so it does not rub on the heat shield

What do you do with your brake lines when you install this?
@natewj1077
@natewj1077 Жыл бұрын
Mines not lifted so I didn't need to extend the hydraulic brake lines. But the parking brake lines went on the bottom, and I put some foam tape on to keep them from rubbing through

Gas mileage is fair, I have other mods, and get on it quite often but I'd say I average about 16MPG on my daily drive.

It's pretty decent, I really haven't had a problem with it, besides it's metal instead of plastic. No instructions, but it's decent, came with hardware, and other components. I'd probably get a more decent filter, and make sure of the pcv valve. other than that pretty good!

I got a 110 tao tao and I stripped the sparkplug threads so I swapped it with a similar head. Now I couldn't get anymore than sixty lbs of compression. I adjusted the timing enough times I bent a couple bolts that hold the cam gear on. Wtf either I grabbed a shitty head or possibly wrong head possible valves need adjusting idk but I think I'm gonna either find the right helicoil or just up grade to 125 and buy the head for that cylinder. I geared it down to a 12 tooth front sprocket and it had been running ok to the point I wouldn't hold the throttle open too long cause anything over twenty mph it's unsure of itself given my size .. I used to use it mainly to rip around town. I live in sunny NW WI where it's perfectly legal and we are ATV friendly here. I wanna fix it cause it's good for what it is.

“pop a wheelie” 😂 there’s your first problem right there - be in a low gear, pull up/back hard while simultaneously giving the bike power. You can get your power from ‘blipping’ the throttle aggressively OR dump the clutch and give the throttle some love… once you get up there it’s all about balance, nobody can teach you that you’ve got to find that part on your own. *start with one or both feet out to the sides for balance if necessary, it may help in the beginning. It’s going to take 100’s of times and you saying f*ck I can’t do this I give up but eventually one day you’ll find it
