The hyper bubble is looking bad. 400 sq/ft coffin apartments was a bad idea and then people buying them for 700k plus was insane. FOMO and easy lending by the bank sent people running for easy money and now everything is returning to a normal value and these tiny apartments have no value to anyone but a speculator who now sees it dropping in value. I would expect things to drop a lot as no one wants to catch a falling knife and the buyers will sit on the sidelines through some major drops.

nope. with current interest rates, the average incomes of condo target audience still doesn't qualify for a mortgage. it needs to be a couple with decent salaries to qualify.

I have bad news. I was safety in construction. Man we built some real junk but it didn't matter. No one lived there. The foreigners bought them and flipped them. Wow the banks are sitting on some mind boggling loses. They were built to last 10 years. My buddy a master carpenter was embarrassed. They cut every corner knowing it didn't matter.

I would go back with an amendment and ask the sellers for a lower price based on comparables. If the sellers has bought another property potentially they will listen.

Prices going up on low volume means sellers don't want to sell they think its worth more.. That could be a sign of another bull run if the buyers take it. The central bank is never going to be able to lower interest rates for a long time. lmao

If you put down less than 20% on a property in Canada, our lending regulators mandate that you have to have mortgage default insurance. The mortgage insurance is actually for the lender.
