This is beautiful. I know this mesh can fray so I want to use this petal. Can this be done on a large UITC board?
@ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw
@ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw 23 күн бұрын
Hi Stephanie. You could try it on wreath board, but the petals just might be spaced a bit wider apart and not overlap as much. Good luck!

Christine, asking a very dumb question but gonna ask anyway. First, I love your work! Very professional looking and intentional! I’m just getting into my attempts at making a wreath…so regarding the plastic grid, how exactly do you measure to cut the grid and once it’s cut is there a specific direction to attach it to the wreath frame? You may have addressed this somewhere but I’m just asking. Thank you.

Hi there. Usually I just trace a circle onto the mesh with a sharpie using the wire frame as a guide. Then I cut it and attach with zip ties. I usually attach it to the back side of the frame but it really shouldn’t make a big difference. Good luck! Christine

Hello Christine, I found your KZfaq video looking for ideas on Fourth of July wreaths. I enjoyed how you made it clear and simple instructions on patriotic red, white and blue flowers with green leaves on the wreath. Beautiful wreath. Thank you for sharing. I click like and subscribed to your KZfaq diy channel. I am from Louisiana ❣️❤️😷💪🏽❣️❣️❣️

This is beautiful! I do have a question. Would it work to hot-glue the felt backing to the back of the frame, rather than using zip ties?

If you can't find the small home punch like that, I'd suggest looking into leather-working tools. They make punches specifically to put new holes in belts, watches bands, etc that should work well for this and are very affordable

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I first seen this on Julie's Wreath Boutique and I made it but I couldn't get the centers right. I had the same issue of being able to see too much of the mechanics. It wasnt until now that I was able to solve the problem. Thank you so much! Your right about the leaves too!! I'm OCD so I appreciate your way of teaching. You are great at it!!

What kind of deco mesh do you use? I order some and seems much thinner?
@ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw
@ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw Ай бұрын
For this pumpkin wreath, I use poly burlap mesh which is thicker than deco mesh. I purchase most of my poly burlap from craft outlet.com. Thanks for the question!

Thats beautiful but how do u stop the mesh from fraying once u bend it together..i had that problem when i made a cross wreath..and r u using a burner as u cut ur mesh
@ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw
@ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw Ай бұрын
I use a wood burner to cut my poly burlap. Then I dot the cut edges with some Mod Podge and let it dry for a few hours. This extra step makes the mesh easier to fold, with less fray. Thanks for the question! Good luck!

While I prefer poly burlap mesh for its thickness, I do use deco and fabric mesh. I think they both make lovely folded petals. This rose gold mesh flower I love is a fabric mesh. Take care! m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jLqAea2KtJq7aX0.html
