Thanks for making this video! I wish I had seen it, when I was on probation. I really thought that PO was there to try to put me in jail, the whole year I was waiting for my PO to be assigned. I walked in there and saw the “Community Corrections,” sign and thought, mmm…hmm. It’s just a nice way of saying it’s a cop sitting in that office, about to interrogate me. What I ended up with is someone who listened to me about what led up to my getting in trouble, and gave me a lot of referrals to help me solve the problems. He said he was sorry I wasn’t able to get help sooner. 😅. Thank you for trying to ease people’s fears. Unless people are not taking probation seriously, they usually don’t have much to worry about.

I'm looking at 1yr of misdemeanor probation for petty theft nothing drug related will they drug test me for that? does it matter if it is a drug-related charge? my court date is in 20 days I guess I will stop smoking green now it's ok I need to quit for my spiritual growth I am too old for jail. lastly, do they watch you piss??

My son has mental health issues. I have reached out to his boss . He disregarded is mental health doctor orders. Who do you report too in GA. He can't get a job to provide for his kids. I have to pay and I can't pay copay to try and keep my son out of jail. He had failed my son and my son had been committed 4 times in the first 7 months for a traffic violation that they had to drop charges but added another in the place of it. 😢This is insane . WHAT DO I DO?

Yep. If you mess up and your PO asks you about it, it's always in your best interest to tell the truth because they either already know about it or will soon find out about it anyway.

I supervise high-risk and medium-risk probationers. For high-risk probationers, missing an office appointment or failing to contact me within a week is considered a failure to report. For medium-risk probationers, this threshold is extended to a month. In either case, if a probationer fails to report, misses any appointment, or does not call, I will conduct a home visit.

If you work in Law enforcement, you are a bad person. You simply take checks for following orders. This is where evil comes from. To decide what someone’s life looks like for years down the road what makes you think you have that power? It’s complete bullshit our justice system and if you work for it, you are a bad evil person and you will get karma. That is the truth. That is the truth. All evil in this world is the result of being unconscious and that is what’s happening here I cannot stand for it. It’s absolutely utter bullshit. My brother committed suicide in front of a court building because the court was sentencing him to 10 years in prison for owning marijuana. How the fuck is that OK?oh it’s the law it’s law it’s not God law they’re two different things so if you are a Christian, do not think that you are a good person because you are following law not God’s law.

U should do a video of how u feel on people get off probation.. I just got off probation n he seen so happy for me and did not drop me at all on my last or few visits because I did everything I need to do to get my case dismissed 6 guns cases dismissed. He seen me turn my whole life around.

This is a little different for Juvenile since we are working around the parent's schedule as well. Most kids are in school, so we see them at school, but at other times, we may need to schedule office meetings, and parents are working 9-5's or odd schedules, so we have to adjust our scheduling for them.

With the amount of cuts to funding you’ll be lucky if you see your probation officer monthly it’s just to much of a gap between appointments especially when something happens and you really need their support or advice

Genuinely had no dirty pee or anything lol but I get anxiety so it makes me seem naturally guilty :( I do my best though.

I think some people go on probation with the attitude of “Yeah - I’m getting over, i beat the system…I should be in jail but now all I gave to do is put up with this BS for a while.” REALITY CHECK: you’re still in the system, and being supervised. This means being told what to do and what not to do. Resentments are born, and a defensive attitude as a result.

@@YourFavoritePO I was supposed to be on it for a year I was placed on it in 2022 I paid my restitution i remained employed never tested positive for substances. In terms of my probation I am supposed to complete class in group therapy but the therapist has everyone doing a book of eight chapters and everyone has to complete the chapters in order to be done with the class and the class takes longer then 1 year to complete which is out my control because I see him 2 time a month every two weeks. My PO likes to write a violation report before my expiration date just to keep me on it but the DA dismissed the violation and they just continue for another 12 months just so I can complete the class. This year my probation has expired July the 8th but he wrote another violation report because of the class so now I have a hearing Sept 11. That why I say I regret it because these people like juggle and play with your life and freedom. No matter if you are doing the right thing in the terms of your probation they still find a way to lock you up or keep you on restraint

Also, adjust your attitude at the door. Don't go to your appointment with a negative attitude or a sour face. Be kind, respectful and patient and that will go a long way with your officer.
