Great explanation in to details and reasons. I know everyone has there different ways. I’m just now getting supplies together as no one makes a configuration of the Glock 47 with a inforce wild 2 light at the moment. So I’m going to make the plunge and try to do it myself in kydex form first.

My wife has a Smith and Wesson. Model 36 - 10 with a 3 inch barrel. All case hardened never seen one like it . Locking bolt is missing. Do you know where I could find that? Thank you

I would call Smith and Wesson. They carry parts for all the old revolvers. I would start there first.

Popular opinion has changed in the last 10+ years. Today, we size the revolver bullet to the chamber throat diameter.

Im a leather worker. In case you see this and haven't found out yet. When making a paper pattern and marking out the stitch line. Do half thickness of gun or magazine + the thickness of the leather. For the most snug non molded fit but able to actually get gun inside of it to mold it. Your way works fine as well. Was just saying this if you experiment on other things like wallets or anything. U won't have to guess the stitch lines on new or 1 off projects in the future when ur not sure of stitch placement from trial and error.

iv been googling and there seems not be be much slow rust bluing for EU. Can I just use a damp box for rusting ? is the boiling water 100 degree or more?
@xdshooter1

I was fortunate enough to live in a very humid place so I didnt use a box. I would think a damp box would work fine. I used an old pot when the water came to a rolling boil I dropped in the parts.

I am a great proponent of the older Smith & Wesson revolvers. However, of all the wonderful revolvers made, this configuration puzzles me. Why make an adjustable sighted revolver with a two inch barrel? By all logic, the only reason for the short barrel is for ease of concealment. So why complicate the problem with adjustable sights? But a lot of them sold. So someone has to like it. Obviously, I'm not a fashion leader.

The S&W Model 15 is by far my favorite of all my Smittys...I carry my 2" 15-2 everyday...You are correct about the rear sight leaf screw location as part of the engineering changes for your -3 in 1967...Also in 1968 (same engineering change) the diamond was eliminated from the grip panel screw holes...You may have mentioned this later in your video, but I stopped at the 5:48 point to comment, you can tell whether your grips are original by looking at the inside of the right grip panel for the numerical portion of the gun's serial number...In the sixties S&W was still hand-fitting grips to frames, and numbered the pairs accordingly...The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson (SCSW) by Jim Supica and Richard Nahas is a valuable addition to any firearm book collection...Added in edit as I watched the rest of the video: The trigger stop which you pointed out was a useful feature for the Target Masterpiece (which became the Model 14), but proved troublesome in combat guns as it could become misadjusted, resulting in a failure to fire, never desirable in a combat situation...If you remove it, be sure to save the parts to pass on to the next caretaker of this fine firearm...

The 15-3 in the 2" barrel was also used by the USAF aircrews.. It was carried in a shoulder holster on missions that required it. I own one of those and was happy to find one several years ago in excellent shape! As an old USAF MAC puke from the day zooming around the world in a C-141 I decided I had to have one for nostalgia's sake. Shoots very nicely. I earned my marksmanship ribbon on one of those back in '82 ish.
