I have been 99% carb free for 1yr. Occasional sugar (1%). Will I have the horrendous withdrawals ? Still on artificial sweeteners and caffeine.

I would have never imagined that quitting all sugar would feel like opioid withdrawal. It's wild but I don't care, I'm over the sugar. I've withdrawaled from worse.

I am excited to be off of sugar.... but, one of the main reasons I was on sugar was for the brain rush, the brain torque, so I could get more work done.. now after 7 days of NO SUGAR I need to power up my brain to do some work, and I need some help.... this is one of the reasons I've stayed on sugar so long

Thank you for this helpful list! I'm on Day 25 of no sweeteners, and in the last 2 years I've also given up flours, seed oils and processed foods. Giving up flour cold-turkey was the hardest on my body: I had painful gas for a couple months. As of Aug 31st this year, the only sugars I was eating were honey and 2 types of protein bars. But I gave all of that up on Sept 2nd with the Vera Tarman's Sugar free September challenge. My withdrawal symptoms have been on the milder side, but I did have some light headaches and fatigue. But some positive changes include a CALM & quiet mind and a decreased appetite (way less foraging). Thank you for all you do! I love the Quit sugar summits.
