These people in the video were currently defeating Russia in a War and were preparing to eventually declare war on the entire world, believing that they were the Asian super race and that their emperor was a God.

You can see why crosswalks were developed. The kid at 4:55 is giving the camera a stare. Great stuff.

It is difficult to believe that this country, which was still backward at that time, was able to defeat a European power in 1905 when they were able to destroy the Russian fleet in a naval battle.

Was that temple near the end of the video senso-ji? It looked a lot like it. Kinda cool seeing what it looked like over 100 years ago and comparing it to when I was there a couple years ago.

Maybe I'm different, but I prefer the uncolorized. At least until the technology to colorize gets better. As for the content? I keep thinking about having the knowledge I do now, being back in that time. I would be a millionaire almost overnight.

@@markowhit4604 Cavemen and bushmen lived naked, then they evolved to become more civilized and educated and put on clothes. The more clothes you have the more “evolved” you are.

The source looks much better to me. That said, Topaz has improved vastly over the last few years. I did not consider it worthy until late last year (2023) when it was sufficiently advanced such that I felt it could improve upon the original without causing side effects and artefacts that were far more annoying than the original (which is the case with this video in my opinion). Topaz can also now interpolate and this ability now is almost flawless.

And to think some of the kids, would fight in WWI, WWII come back to the Great Depression and still work. These kids would have worked and lived a thousand lifetimes of pain while we sit here and just watch.
