❤❤🎉🎉. It's interesting to see how Prince Philip has the ability to converse, communicate or share with both women in his life. The queen is smart and deals with the details of what was passed on to her - she is fascinated and explains what she has learned. Smart. The queen is encouraging and supportive - she wants Philip to get involved! Penelope is more creative and probing and it's all so very exciting to her. Philip is stimulated by her! I don't know if they were seeing each other or they were just friends. He asked the queen "why didn't you question this"? The queen just blew it off. Penelope however jumped on this subject! I think both Philip and Elizabeth were very good to each when it comes to the monarchy and family and state affairs. He was her rock and stay...

My heart breaks and bleeds for Diana. Shame on Charles for not, kindly/manly, breaking the marriage off with Diana. CHARLES IS TO BLAME FOR ALL OF THIS . . . Along with his mother.😖😖😖

1:18 "At some time every leader must ask himself whether staying in office is giving to the country or taking from the country.": Why has no-one said that to Biden? Possibly because he has been taking since the 1970s?

All very dramatised. Margaret could have married whomever she wanted but she didn’t want to give up the titles and the benefits of being a member of the family. That’s how strong their love was.

Because of that belief the monarchies failed one after another. Monarchy is a calling from the people to be ruled not a god given right. A lot of heads of monarchs rolled down with that belief and not giving up on it

In a lot of respects I feel for Grady’s character. He’s just not “getting it” and has a hard time buying in to the new approach.

To be fair they are all pointless, the others just kid themselves in to thinking they have a purpose including Charles.

It's so sad to see the look of relief on William's face when Diana and Charles have a moment of tenderness on the plane. I think the impact their relationship had on their kids is not often considered in the general discourse about them. However, in real life, children witnessing a poor relationship between their parents often suffer from anxiety, or a sense of responsibility for the parents ect. Don't get me wrong, I think Diana is a truly wonderful mother, but the show depicts a bit of an unhealthy over-attachment to William. Not her fault necessarily, but not good for William! Likewise, Charles is loving and affectionate towards his boys, but the show depicts that he doesn't always know how to be close with them emotionally in the same way Diana does. So an environment like that, especially when the parents don't lean on each other for support, can make the child feel responsible for their parents emotions. Disclaimer: I KNOW ITS A FICTIONAL SCENE. I am talking about the fictional characters we see on this show. I haven't enough info on the real Diana and Charles to comment on their parenting. So no snide comments about that please :3
