I have the same tent. I leave one side of the fly unzipped and rolled up so I KNOW which way to put it on. It took a week of Buster Keaton moves to figure that out,

I would love to pick your brain, you did my planned first day trip. My day one goal is Phoebe. This is my first BWCA trip, and it is a long solo, but my outdoor resume is solid. Wow, I just realized that the only two items left on the bucket list I made when I in grade school are BWCA and rafting through the Grand Canyon. Make that my North American list, Milford Track and the Haute Route are still on it.

I’m in Durango, CO prepping for the Colorado Trail. I’ve thought of you often. My PCT hike was canceled last year, as were most others. Planning to get to Denver in the next few weeks to start.

@@asiam7436 so glad to hear you’re doing great. I was just in CO with a family member who was attending a nursing conference in Keystone. We had a quick girls trip and we’re able to do several good hikes. Had lovely weather and, as expected, amazing hikes. Perhaps we’ll get to meet some day… I still have one more 14er sitting on my bucket list. Hike on my friend.

Solo, this is John with Troop 222 out of Lacey, WA. Glad to meet you on 8-2-20. You were just beginning your climb out of the bridge of the gods trail head (about 4miles in). We ran into your friend "Wilson" just down the trail from you. Wishing you good travels and weather. look forward to your videos of the trip to CA. We made it out at 1pm. Have been talking about you to several people. Thanks for taking time to talk with us and give us a quick break. You go girl.....enjoy the trail....

AWESOME!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!! IMHO: "GOING SOLO" IS a VERY VALUABLE, "lifetime lesson"!! Your boat is Quite "seaworthy", you ought to trust it, if you always paddle directly into, or, with the big waves!! Also, stay close to shore, if necessary, and stay upwind on the big lakes. Camp on the upwind side of the lakes, so that the smells of cooking food, goes across the lake, instead of into the woods nearby, thus minimizing the attraction to critters, and mosuitoes!! Also, go in mid September!!! You'll see the start of the Fall colors, and almost no pest insects!!

Thank you for the inspiring video. I went to the BW 45 years ago. Once for one week and then a month. I often say it was the best thing I've done. I turn 65 this year and have a 4 day solo trip planned in BC Canada. My first overnight trip on the water since then! I've realized this could get me started to get back to the BW. I'm thrilled it is still protected. Nice to see there are solo women adventurers.

Enjoyed your review of your new (at the time) Sea to Summit "Comfort Plus" sleeping pad. However, after looking at your play list, didn't see anything as to how it worked out for you. Are you still using it, did it meet your expectations, did you have any puncture problems, would you buy another one, etc, etc.?? Best of luck with the CDT. It's a tuffie. Ax

Thanks for the helpful review. I'm watching this almost 3 years after you posted it, and it's still quite relative to sleeping pad choices today. I'm looking to replace my 20-year-old Therm-a-Rest, but the many negative reviews and comments on the newest Therm-a-Rest series are not very encouraging. I have this same model Sea to Summit on my final decision list, and you've helped me decide that it is the one I want to buy. Hope you've gotten good service out of yours. Barry

Iv'e had success with the ten minute method as well. That 10 minutes almost always turns into a full workout. I've never thought about applying it to my hiking. I am also planning to hike the PCT in 2020. I recently got a part time job to pay for my expenses. The bonus is that the job is extremely physical. It's literally a 5 hour work out 5 days a week.
