If the wood box on which the air handler is always moist, can you put a wood hardener or filler to block the moisture?

I fixed one of these to the end of a full size tool handle and used it to clean the spaces between boards in my decking. A few years later I made a replacement out of a 5 foot stainless steel pipe with one end shaped like this tool and the other with a carbon steel cylinder welded over with hardcoating to use as a hammer for pushing in popped nails.

I had a random guy at a home improvement store about 4 years ago go off on me because I was buying a drill, 2 batteries, and charger kit, instead of the drill, driver, 2 batteries, and charger kit on a big ass end cap display. The kit I bought was brushless and I was specifically there for that kit. He was very excited to tell me what an idiot I was for not buying the kit he was getting. I'm not a contractor, but I use my drill (and other power tools) more than the average person. I also don't like having to replace tools every x number of years due to it turning into a paperweight. My old drill was so screwed up that it couldn't drill a 5/16 or 3/8 inch pilot hole into a stud. It'd just stop spinning.

I use an old t-shirt or pillow case over the filter when doing maintenance on commercial dryers and use a hose on the exhaust hose like someone else mentioned. It extends the life of the cartridge significantly.

Excellent video, a very informed presenatation. Thank You Honest Carpenter. I don't live in the US but it's good to see that water based low VOC paints are widely used. I would like to think we are not that far behind in Europe and I have used w/based paint outdoors in a very aggressive weather marine environment with frankly better results. Many people only give 10 years for oil paint to be available and as it is bad for everyone's bronchial system...the quicker the better,

Hey Ethan. I've been following your channel for a long time. I love and admire your content a lot plus it's been really nice learning from an experienced tradesman. Could you maybe do a rundown of what you would bring onto the job site regarding power tools, auxiliary items, or tools for different tasks, adhesives, etc? I'm looking to get into service work in the future and I'm wondering what I should keep in my vehicle at all times for tackling various tasks and projects. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

Good video and explanation, the circular saw has always been my nemesis, and one tool that I’ve always tried to avoid. But I’ve just been given one, and hoping to overcome my fears, so will be watching further videos on there safe use

Why are you using a left-handed circle saw if you flipped it around you can see what the hell you're cutting

Why do you want impact bits to twist slightly? Doesn’t that defeat the idea of an impact driver?

You said "$10" and i see online some prices of $8, $10, $13 and more($23, $33), so saying $10, at this time, is spot on. You could get one a little cheaper, right at $10 or a little more expensive. I'm soo used to people saying "you can get (insert product) for just $5" and bragging the whole video about how $5 is soo affordable and it being + $15 shipping and only available online, so the shipping is not optional, meaning, they are misrepresenting the price, especially when those items are a $15 shipping per item, so 2 items = $30 shipping. Thanks for being Honest. Oh, haha, "The Honest Carpenter", (Now Subscribed).

When I moved into my apartment 18 yrs ago I didn't pay much attention to my master door. I noticed it would blow back and forth when closed and there was a storm outside. Only recently did I realize it needed a strike plate they had just painted the hole and walked away. Yea slumlord city here. Anyway never having put one on I figured it was a piece of cake. "a 5 min job" Now is where I warn all newbies like me to DIY repairs it is a CURSE to ever estimate how long something will take. I screwed the plate in with no effort and proudly closed the door. It no longer shook in place however it also didn't latch. It acted like the plate wasn't deep enough in the groove. I messed with it another half-hour and then gave up. at least it no longer rattled. It's still there and still doesn't latch. I do NOT want to risk messing it up. Let them. Right now it looks better and is semi functional LOL. Thanks for this video we have had serious EQ's here and I think the doorjamb is twisted a bit. Mine is almost lined up with the hole it has about 1/16th inch that it's below. I am just a chicken and don't want to carve it out LOL. Thanks for the video.

The difference is that drills bind then snap the drill bit. An impact driver never binds and ive never accidentally broken a drill bit or a tap when using one. Impact driver master race.
