Hi, there. Thank you for your video. I own a 2019 Nissan Leaf S in Northern California, USA. There are some notable differences between my vehicle and the one in your video. I'd like to point them out here in case it could possibly help other people trying to replace the cabin air filters on their 2019 Nissan Leaf S. I needed a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the 10 screws which secured my glove box (there were two additional screws located inside the central cavern of the box). However, looking around the rest of the area, I see the remaining screws outside the glovebox are torx screws.. On this model, the air filter cap was quite in the back, all the way against the farthest wall, and the cap was black in color, not white as in this video. Also, it was necessary to remove it from the bottom up, as the cap notched into the top and latched to the bottom. I, too, have questions about the air flow arrow. I assume that I'm going to go by where the pull tab is in your video. I purchased this Leaf pre-owned over 3 years ago (in June 2021) and the air filter has not been changed since that initial purchase. Whoever installed it last time did an awful job, as you mentioned could happen. It was all bundled up and filthy. I also think they broke my light because I never knew I had one until I almost ripped it out. Everything on my vehicle had to be done opposite yours. The filter needed to be pushed into the top first, then worked into the slot and secured. If my assessment is correct, the previous air filter was installed backwards, however, not in the direction of air flow I assumed, which would be toward the cabin of the car. Thank you for all your tips. The one thing I could not figure out was how to remove only the bottom air filter cover as you showed for the second option. I couldn't pop it off without moving the entire glovebox. Can you offer some more guidance here, perhaps with another video? Thank you again, very much! I have read that individual modules are not able to be replaced due to the stringent requirement of the BMS requiring all the modules capacities to be within 1% of each other. If only one module is replaced then it only takes anywhere from a few charges to MAYBE up to a year of charges (if you're very lucky)for a battery imbalance to occur as buying a random module and it having within 1% of the capacity of the others currently in the pack is akin to winning the lottery. According to this individual when that happens you're right back where you started. He is someone who sells whole battery packs and the only people who "back up" his claim also sell whole battery packs. So I'm not sure how honest he is being vs just trying to scare people away from buying modules and into whole pack replacements from him. Can you say in your experience is there any truth to this statement? I am in the US and I have a 2014 Model S that has a single bad module. I'm contemplating just trying a single module replacement but I don't want to spend $500 on another module only to be right back where I am now in less than a year.

I just fitted the spare wheel holder from a wrecked NZ new 2022 Leaf e+ into my 2016 Tekna. I much prefer your design. Well done. Is the spare wheel held firm against the underside of the boot? The 2022 has a rubber pad on legs that stops the spare wheel from vibrating And yes, the 62KWh battery and interior is fitted into my Tekna, and the 160KW inverter is next. The guess-o-meter shows 380km range at 95% SOC, so its a true long range car now

does the bms actually measure the voltage of every individual cell?? wouldnt that require a truck load of cables for each module?

Thank you for this. I've got an M3 and was thinking that if and when there is a problem with the battery, likely many years from now, there will be shops that will be able to repair or replace the battery much as you can get an ICE engine rebuilt. You are showing that this is already happening.

Mine is 2020 US bought Nissan Leaf ... airbag makes it hard to see but not impossible since I knew what I was looking/feeling for from vid. Done in under 10 min's w/o taking out glove box... also no cut out in glove box to peak through in this model ... would have been nice to have more of a sight line. Thanks.

Thanks a lot. I just opened my cover. But I realised the screws have to go out with the washers together. There is nothing said in the manual about how to open the decorative cover and not clear where is the release rope for the plug. I am having currently problems with charging (either 12V battery or the main battery are faulty) and the key doesn't respond.

The access panel doesn’t appear to be in that location in the 2021 leaf. The only access panel is on the side which doesn’t include that and there’s another one that’s marked airbag which assuming is not it as well. Any suggestions?

cells in parallel cannot be distinguished from each other: therefore there is no indivicual cell level monitoring..........important fact to remember.........its a weakness in ev's not yet resolved.

Great video, but lacks a little bit of information. What was the state of this Leaf? How many miles? Which year model? What was it's use case? Did the owner rapid charge a lot? And finally, everybody understands the price of every repair will be different but you could have mentioned what it cost in this case or at least give some ballpark number. Thanks & keep sharing ❤
