Very nice. I would like to see a 4 epoxy piece too. I love the colors and think 4 would be better than 2.

Amazing piece Andy!!! Yew wood is the ultimate wood for turning, its just magical. Every yew tree is different and unique, and every piece tells a story throught the slow growing and beautiful grain! 🎉

When that globe is spinning on the lathe, it reminds me of the motion of Jupiter's clouds. Impressive work overall.

Yeah, I’m not gonna lie, the talent and artistry is top notch- it’s an impressive feat- but I honestly would not buy that globe at a yard sale.

We are in the last days. God is coming soon to bring His people home. Repent of you're sins and get baptized. Be born again by believing and being saved to go to eternal life. Jesus is The Only Way. Have a relationship with Him. He loves you and cares for you're soul. Believe and be saved according to The Book of Romans 10:9. Accept Him as you're personal Lord and Savior. Hear His Word, The Holy Bible, stay in prayer and help others. I am here for prayer. I'm just sharing The Good News. God bless.

Sorry to ask, I know nothing about wood turning but why didn't you cut it in a more regular shape with a bandsaw first ?

Pardon my ignorance, what was the red coloration on the wood prior to you shaving it off? Was it a protective covering? I always love your work, sir.

I lived off-grid on the sea for 13 years, had own anchorage & a small rustic float camp 6 miles from Tofino BC. Yew wood around there was harvested for the coldest times since it burned like coal. Heard rumor of a registry for yew but never researched the largest specimen found. Found one more that 3 foot diameter & I harvested almost a dozen large (dead) branches the size of a man`s waist but left the massive live trunk & a couple live branches.

What in the twisty turney backy forwardsey is going on at beginning, I see this all over the place, but never thought as to why it’s an ‘optimum conclusion’ (optical illusion) in my eyes 😂. Anyway on with the show, I’m looking forward to this one. ❤
