My grandma didn't just shoot free throws like that, she shot every shot like that and she made way more than she missed.

How are you going to have the opinion that Barry quit giving effort in the 3rd quarter of the wcf game 7? Immediately after you say that his team collectively looked to keep the ball away from Barry. That makes no sense.

Yes, you gave ‘Dick Barry the benefit of the doubt throughout the video which says you’re a red neck like he was….shame on you!

Sounds like a very Based person. Also sounds like his teammates were racist, stupid, and a bunch of scrubs. He'd fit right in with Kobe and MJ.

Here's how it probably went: "Dang Rick, you shoot like my 90 year old granny." "Then why am I shooting better than you?" "Man that guy sure is condescending."

Only Ewing was more hated by his teammates than Rick Barry was by the Warriors in the 70s.

Please see my comment on T-Pointer's Litterial Sprewell video, as to why I think Gary Payton also belongs on this "most hated" list. In 2020, Ricky Pierce STILL was bitter at Payton, for getting him kicked out of Seattle in the summer of 1994.

8:00 It's well-known that Bill Russell never got over the slights and racial discrimination that he received while in Boston (I fully believe he suffered these things, and as a Japanese-American and Blazers fan, I HATE the Boston Celtics!). That's why I know that Russell is clearly bothered by this remark. I was born in 1973, graduated from high school in 1991, and I myself would never have made a "fried chicken and watermelon" remark about African-Americans. I guess, I understand not to, because I didn't like "karate and rice" references about myself.

0:30 Eddie Johnson is deceased, unfortunately. Not to be confused with the GOOD Eddie Johnson (take note, Chicago Tribune), who played with the Phoenix Suns, also with the Seattle Sonics, and then the Charlotte Hornets and Houston Rockets.

I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American and male. Gary Payton should be on your list. I loved Payton and Kemp, in 1993-96. But, after Kemp sabotaged the team, and then finding out years later that Gary Payton had a problem with EVERY teammate, I realized what a prick he was! He made Rashard Lewis cry during practice, for starters. It's one thing to have problems with teammates like Kendall Gill, Vincent Askew, Ricky PIerce, and Frank Brokuwski. But, when Hersey Hawkins (Hersey Hawkins!), Nate McMillan, and Sam Perkins (Sam Perkins!) come out later, and say that they did NOT enjoy playing with Gary Payton, that proves that PAYTON was the problem! I rooted for the 2005-06 Dallas Mavericks to win the NBA Finals, because I did NOT want Gary Payton and Jason Williams to win rings!

Watch the two games Isiah played against the Jazz that caused Malone to give Zeke 44 stitches because he was abusing Stockton. He was sending a message after he saw he wasnt being selected. Do better man

Rick Barry had A LOT of fans in the SF Bay Area and hid '74-75 season was a masterpiece. and worthy of the MVP. The players were voting then and so the "Miami Greyhound" had nom chance od winning the MVP. I mean, Barry averaged 30 a game, over 6 assists, and led the NBA in steals at almost 3 a game. Barry was a great player and had a large fan base in the Bay Area and I think he had a lot of fans around the NBA because of his great all-around play.

I think the Bulls and Celtics bonded on some level due to their shared hatred of the Pistons. Definitely in the case of MJ and Bird. They could share war wound stories.

Ive always heard some negative things about Rick, but I didnt know it was this many. Regardless he was a helluva player and as great of a scorer and shooter he was , he also was an excellent passer. He would've been putting up Steph- like 3 pt numbers if he played in today's game.

It never had anything to do with Jordan. Jordan didn't say sh1t. It all started with Magic and Larry. Isaiah walking off had nothing to so with it. It was all because Isaiah betrayed and back stabbed Magic and Magic would withdraw if Isaiah was on the team and Larry felt the same way.

I’m not sure anyone could truly say Laimbeer wasn’t a good player. In fact, that might be exactly why he was hated so much. He was a skilled player and didn’t need to play dirty to have an impact on the game. But he repeatedly chose to try to hurt other players, especially other top-tier players. And his sneering public BS statements/lies claiming innocence after every infraction insulted fans’ intelligence. He could’ve said he was just delivering a hard foul and people would’ve respected him a bit more. Bottom line: He was a lying, poor loser who tried to injure opponents. No excuse.

No forward in history, not Baylor, Erving, Bird or James had more skill than Rick Barry. He took a backseat to no one in terms of basketball skills and smarts, however....He was universally hated because his personality was often abrasive and arrogant. He was also a needler and trash talker at a time when such things weren't as common. Later, trash talking became something of an art and was pretty common, even respected. So in that sense, he may have been ahead of his time.
