Great idea that ramp, works fine however I would fill the middle as well. You dont want a wheel stuck in the gap in the middle. Great progress.

Hello from Madrid. I lived in England for 13 years and came back. I love to see the progress at your property and I am very curious about the Roman well. Can it be recovered? ❤❤❤

Hello there! We have lived in England for over 20 years. This year we have moved to Spain. I'm happy to hear of your enthusiasm about our project. Regarding the well, I am currently researching the best way to approach the restoration, as it is dangerous work. I will talk about this in a future video. Thanks for watching :)

Hello Neuton. Yes, a lot of work involved. The video is just a summary of what took several days to make it. I'm glad you liked it, I planned a lot before placing the caravan in front of the stone house, right on that stop. It turned out nicely :)

Great to see you back on your land and I can only imagine how excited you are to have got to this point. You had me curling my toes watching you rescuing the snakes lol, it's something I am also exposed to being on a holding, but it doesn't make me get used to it.😂👍

Hello Neuton. Let me tell you... It took me the rest of the day to come down from the adrenaline of dealing with the snakes. A delicate job that needed to be done. Hope there will be no more snakes on that cistern :)

Hello Sonia. It was frustrating at the time, but I learned a huge lesson from it. The only person I can count on is myself. So I planned the most viable way to carry out this project and went ahead. Everything ended well. Thanks for watching :)

Saving the little olive trees and the snakes from the well was a nice move .. but I think it can be quite annoying to live in a place with so many snakes .. you have to be very careful all the time .. even inside your future home coz these creatures tend to move into the stone buildings as well. Best of luck with the project!! 👍✌

There is a man here in Alaska, USA, who has spent his life devoted to self-reliance, and he has a series online called Homestead Rescue. His name is Marty Raney. He lives the life as well as helps others with their homesteads. He is all about using what the land and what nature provides. You may be interested in some of his ideas. 😊

Regarding laundry.... a 5 gallon bucket with a lid and a toilet plunger. Make a hole slightly larger than the handle diameter in the middle of the lid. You can put your laundry, clothes, soap, and water in the bucket, plunger in the hole of the lid, and this will be your agitater. Place lid on the bucket and start pumping. Repeat to rinse. It is quite efficient at cleaning. 😊

Is it standard that you get your deed a couple of months later? Once you get the deed, then what?
@eridulifeАй бұрын
Hello there. Yes, in Spain things are very slow. After the deed we had to register on the system to update our names. Now we are dealing with building permits. After that we will start restoring the house.

You can get it cooler if you bury it before it gets to the first tap, deep enough or long enough in the shade. 👍
@eridulifeАй бұрын
I am starting to cover part of the pipes with mulch. Will leave some exposure so we can get so little warm water
@neutonrenda2303Ай бұрын
The one thing I found myself is that leaving the black tank and pipes exposed, you'll have water hot enough that you wouldn't be able to hold your hand under the tap for long during the summer. It gets very hot.
@eridulifeАй бұрын
Hello Neuton. I am facing that problem right now. Yesterday it was 34 celsius, as the sun was hitting the tank and pipes, the water was literally boiling. Solving this problem soon
@neutonrenda2303Ай бұрын
I hope that you don't have too much of a problem with it, we have very sandy soil and burying it was the easy way for me, your soil looks harder to dig, but that's when covering it might help.👍
@neutonrenda2303Ай бұрын
The great way of using the problem is leaving the pipe for your hot water system exposed, it makes heating the water far cheaper. I ran a pipe on my roof to feed the geyser and it works really well.👍
@eridulifeАй бұрын

@neutonrenda2303Ай бұрын
To help straighten out the pipes, a heat gun or even a bucket of hot water can help. Even leaving it in the sun to heat up can work depending on the thickness of the pipe wall. Once it's hot enough you can normally manage to get it straight.👍
@eridulifeАй бұрын
The sun is good. The pipe become much more flexible. Just learn that too late
