I still get my compounded Tirezepatide cheaper than this price. This is not great news for me. I called my compounding pharmacy on the day of announcement and order more vials. I'm afraid the drug company will go after compounding pharmacies and my access to a compounded option and cheaper cost will be stopped. I know this is a very complicated discussion..... but big pharma has power and they're going to go after compounding pharmacy and stomp them out. All of use on compounded Tirezepatide get ready. prepare yourself.

I was wondering why I have been FREEZING my butt off for the last few weeks! Even when it was 90 degrees outside it didn't feel that hot...I am only on my second dose too..😅

Thank you! And for the record, I have commercial insurance and I have been on Zepbound since May via Lily Direct. Yesterday, I had to fill my prescription for 7.5 mg, and I was sent an email receipt for the price of $550, which is what I have been paying all along, with my savings card. However, they then sent another email telling me they are currently out of 7.5 mg. My doctor wanted me to go up to 10 mg a month ago, but they were out of that, and they still are. So, now I guess I’m gonna try to go back down to 5 mg or jump to 12.5 mg. Anyways, it looks like they’re still letting me use the $550 savings card. But… They are out of far more doses than they are showing. And thank you very much for clarifying that five months thing.… The thing where it states we can only get five prescriptions per year, but, apparently, that’s just the rest of THIS calendar year. Whew. 😅 Ugh. What a rollercoaster this has been! I was supposed to start Zepbound in March! But there were too many complications with the prescriptions and my doctor. And two years ago, I was prescribed Wegovy, but couldn’t afford it. I’m really looking forward to what will happen on September 24th with Bernie Sanders. Thank you for being on top of everything!

Loaded question, how much are the PBMs adding to the cost? I know the US is a for profit medical system but just trying to figure out how much they are responsible for the high cost of these drugs in the US.

My other question is, will they limit the number of vial prescriptions to follow their recommendations. Ex. 1 month for 2.5, 5.0 maintenance dose? I have been on 2.5 since 3/29/24 and lost 70 lbs. I am not interested in titrating up while 2.5 is still working for me. I have 40 more lbs to lose.

I got mine yesterday for $550, but my prescription was sent in several days ago and already processed. I have seen reports on other vlogs and Facebook sites that people today are being told that when their old card is run, it indicates that they have used their allotted refillls/savings. So, it seems that it is not grandfathered in.😢

I’ve tried RO services after hearing about them here on this podcast . I’m beyond impressed with their app, with their service, and with the speed of their responses. My orders were delivered with over night shipment. Decided to switch to something else, they helped me with that too promptly. Contacted my insurance for me and found out my options. Highly recommend it so far

As an update for anyone watching this, I was able to verify this information today with Eli Lilly.

Lilly said to use your old savings card until it expires. Do not apply for. a new one until Jan 1, 2025.

I requested a zepbound refill yesterday 8/27/24 and picked it up today at price of $550. Pharmacy used the savings card “on file”.

I read the fine print last night at Lilly website…As of last night, for those with coupon AND whose insurance does cover Zepbound, the coupon remains the same. For those with old coupon AND whose insurance does NOT cove Zepbound, their cost will go up.

This is not good for anyone. This company is greedy and not helping people. They only want the money. I don’t understand how you can say that they are helping people.

The old and new cards are the same numbers.

Hey! Not sure if you saw that Elizabeth Countess of shopping went to get her Zepbound today, and they said she had to pay over $1k w her normal pharmacy using her old savings card. So, now I don't know what to expect?

Hey Dave. Looks like a lot of people who have Ins, but not covered for MJ. or Zep are now paying full price. I remember that change was put in at the beginning of this year. I believe for people with ins but no med coverage, the savings card expired at end of June or July. I believe you covered that in one of your videos. Do you recall that change to the savings card?

Yes and I appreciate you bringing this but the price gauging for self pay is just wrong. $650 is not an acceptable price. I will be forced to go through other ways as Semaglutide is not an option for me. I am a sure I am not alone.

Just do the right think Lilly. Cap the cash pay at $550 no matter the dose. Do you care about obesity or not?

Why are they only selling 2.5mg and 5mg? Does a lot of good for everyone who has progressed beyond 5mg. Which takes about 2 months. Woopdidoo.

Come the beginning of the year we need to start to have real conversations about paying for your medication. No belly aching and real solutions. Second jobs or cutting out luxuries. EL is working on making med available meaning ending compounds. Open enrollment is coming up in October and they might get cut.

Most people on Medicare that needs this medication will not be able to pay $399 and up per month.😢
