When I first played this and truly analyzed the mission where Mason meets JFK, and something tells me Mason shot JFK at the Pentagon, and the CIA got a double of the president to eventually make the whole nation believe JFK was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald along with Mason as she 2nd shooter. Of course it’s only another perspective and not real. However I do strongly believe the real enemy in Black Ops was the CIA.

17:00 while a decent idea, part of the fun of Halo is the sandbox of different weapons, so it would limit half the fun. Also, it wouldn't make sense lorewise. We can trade Covenant weapons with Marines and ODST's in all other Halo games, and they can use them no problem. While I do agree it's not hard enough since you're just a regualr Joe, just play on Legendary. If it's still too easy, pop some skulls on. Master Chief dies all the time as well but we as players continue playing no matter what you throw at us/how hard you make it, and since you have inifnite tries you'll always come out on top. It just takes time. Even games like Dark Souls are really really easy for people that just keep playing. I mean some people complete all Souls Games in a row without getting hit once. Idk my point but yeah, gather from this what you want lol.
@calvinfishermedia14 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing! My point wasn’t quite that the game was too easy, rather on how similar it feels to the other games despite you not playing as a spartan. I agree, there are a lot of ways you can increase difficulty if you want. Good point on the Covenant weapons!
@Tyler-nh6oy15 күн бұрын
To my knowledge the warning prior to “No Russian” was added after backlash and if you play the release version of the game it is not present, which would make the criticism of the devs “knowing” the mission was a significant departure from the game’s tone a false criticism, as they simply added it due to soft people criticizing a video game. Not to mention, the game and prior game covered nuking literally tens of thousands of Americans and the possibility of nuking tens of millions of Anericans, is that not MUCH darker than the slaughter of a few dozen/hundred Russians by another Russian? Weird commentary on that part, potentially extremely biased even. Wish you would’ve done better there.
@calvinfishermedia14 күн бұрын
Hmmm… well there is a reason there was the backlash happened in the first place, and the warning was added to this mission only, and not the nuke mission. It’s one thing to have abstract deaths and another to be committing atrocities firsthand and see the carnage up close. Thanks for checking out the video.

Its actually ironic and funny that in a game series known for guns, shooting and larger-than-life set piece battles, this game carried one of the most iconic levels in Call Of Duty history without even a single gunshot - the Pentagon. Just walking around, and meeting "someone" - but the context, the music, and the sheer audacity of this game to pull something like this off, is just... amazing.

Love the action figure comparison. Was playing this just this week for the first time after many many years. And honestly I was kinda surprised how many ideas it already had that kinda became a staple of spiderman games, like the chase sequences. Oh it's clearly a product of it's time but it certainly is spiderman in it's puresest form and I just love it. Also may I say how much I miss the era of unlockables? Like yeah, there is a cheat for cosmic spiderman, but going through hardmore with the black suit, learning some skills you did not even knew you have, feels very rewarding.

When I first started I dropped the game because AAR is so unbelievably boring in a story and gameplay standpoint. If it wasn't for my freinds forcing me to beat the 1st expansion as I soon see why the trope of "just wait until heavensword" comes from. The lore, the story, the characters all actually improves vastly. It's sad though that it takes so long to get to a point where it feels fun in a gameplay standpoint. No more fetching wine to gain the ability to fight a primal.
@calvinfishermedia21 күн бұрын
The gameplay feels very one-note at the beginning. I've come to really love the combat as I've explored more abilities and jobs, but the first 15-20 hours are toggling between a couple attacks. Definitely a bit of a grind to get through. Thanks for watching!

Ok. That very short and very simple line at 27:13 - "Make him proud". The amount of impact just those 3 words had is immense. It also goes back to Jorge being the almost father figure of the group, and the most sentimental one, with idea of Noble Six and the rest of the team's deeds done to make him proud like a father.

This game started off as misunderstood and controversial, but eventually, through analysis and careful observation we ended up seeing it for the storytelling gem it really is. And it's not just the gameplay that shows us how the situation devolves either, it extends to the menu screen as well! When we first boot up the game, the main menu shows us a figure standing of a roof of a building that overlooks the city, with a tattered american flag waving near him. This man is in fact, one of the 33rd soldiers we end up encountering throughout the game. As we play through Spec Ops: The Line more and more, this screen develops from the soldier simply going about their business to slowly but surely growing more cautious and alert, frantically waving their gun in search of the nearby threats (those being Delta), while both the flag, and the city slowly but surely degrade. Once we get far enough into the story, the soldier dies, with crows eating away at his corpse. And by the end of the game, we see nothing more of him but a pool of blood. The rest is covered by the flag, now fallen over the soldier's half-eaten corpse. And all we see in the background, is nothing more but the skeletal remains of a building. Dubai has died. And Walker and his Delta were the driving force behind it...
