You did a great job of explaining retopology in a simple way that I could understand. I'm more analytical and less creative, so before I found your video I thought the workflow was pretty intimidating. Thanks for the series :)

This might seem like a no brainer question but I'm somewhat new and have been driving myself crazy for a while now. Would this method be good for a model that I'd like to animate? There's like 700 different tutorials all doing it differently and yours is so far the only one that has clicked. Problem being that I'd like to animate my character when I'm done and there's all this talk of topology and "simple polygons" so I figured I'd just come right out and ask.

These tutorials are great. I especially enjoyed having a reference to work with at the beginning when sculpting the body. I think it would've been helpful to have a reference for the clothes though. The model I created doesn't exactly line up with yours so it makes it difficult to follow along without having an idea what the intended final shape will be.

This was one of the best tutorials I have ever seen for this. I still had to rewind pause and figure out what you did a bunch of times. I would have liked the first 10 minutes to keep reviewing the keys. because it took me a couple hours to get through that part figuring out what you were clicking and doing. I know you know it well, but you blitz through the info so fast it's frustrating to try and follow for a person who has limited experience with blender.

OK, so I sculpt the all body, and when I start the hand, the clay strips brush didn't work well. (And all the other brush are reversed, like Draw dig, Draw Sharp add,...) Like when I want to add some matter, it didn't work. At first, I thought it was bcs it was taking material from the surface below, but after adjusting that, it didn't work at all. Ps : the brush are correctly working on the body, ears and head, but didn't work on the hand only Can someone help me plz ?

My wireframe color was a really hard to see. If you rename your object and make sure the first letter is different, you'll get a new color.

this makes me wanna learn 3d sculpting and animating, but I'm always put off by blender lmao maybe one day. For now I'll just stick with digital art and clay when I get the urge to sculpt hahaha. Totally going to binge your videos though!
