2.5 for Solo v Cody is bang on. That match was boring as fuck, and never at one point did I think (or have I thought throughout the build-up) that Solo was a threat to Cody’s title reign. The entire thing was a ploy for a debut or a return (Roman, Rock, Starks…?) and in that sense it delivered. But for a Summerslam main Event? Nah, it barely beat out Roman v Jey last year.

I agree Sami/Bron deserved more time. Their MITB match was close to 14 minutes. But nope we had to sit thru a dumb miz,truth,theory,waller & jellyroll segment.

I was hoping for Roman to come out in wrestling gear. That theme and return in "normal clothes" felt weird. For the Punk vs. Drew match, since it was build in a "i hate you" storyline i was expecting more physical moves and less wrestling because they wanted to beat the shit out of each other so i was fine with it. Else i mostly agree with you guys

With the exception of jellyroll I really enjoyed this show.

Imagine the bloodline starts beating up on Cody and then Cenas music hits…he comes down and everyone thinks he’s there to save Cody but he throws his one up for Solo and starts beating up on Cody. Cena heel turn trying to do anything to get that #17… would be insane.

The IC match was kind of in the middle from the 2 option I thought it would be. Either a quick Bron squash or a hard fought 15-18 min match with either winning (imo Bron was right to win). But this match just wasn’t very satisfying or in line with the story they have been telling

It was such a great atmosphere live. It took the matches up a notch imo. They went crazy for literally every match, except for Rhodes/Solo where they were just anticipating the overbooking leading to Roman Reigns return.
