I think the comment from eddieZDI was misunderstood. It doesn't seem like they were saying Miz was the only one who could teach him how to wrestle, they were saying nobody on the roster could teach Bryan to wrestle, but Miz was perfect since he could teach him to be a WWE guy (the superstar aspect).

I hope you guys didn't take my comment as some kind of a backhanded insult, there's a reason this content is one of the only things I still interact with. Fair criticism isn't what I was talking about at all, it's more aimed at the people who seem to be grifting with all the complaints about wrestling, even when it's objectively an enjoyable segment/match/promo. It's too easy to say that there are stories for the New Day without actually being specific. The roster is already stacked and there is little to no room for the New Day to do anything meaningful as singles wrestlers. You know what isn't stacked? The tag team divisions. Let them continue to serve their purpose as a credible tag team that fills in the gaps while trying to bring legitimacy to the tag team divisions, which they have failed to do for years.

They've been together for 10 years, there's absolutely no reasonable story that would make sense for them to break up. If you want to give them singles runs, just give them singles runs with the other as their ally (like how Cody will always have Jey Uso as his ally)

#HOTTAKE I have one: branding is everything. The reason wwe been on top since they purchased wcw is because they have mastered marketing. For example: Kanye West is a great marketer. Not all of his albums are Graduation level of amazing but they sell. How? Because he markets great. So much so he got people to buy Donda because of his controversial opinions making his fans back him no matter what. Same for wwe. They've done some head scratching stuff but they market their brand so well, they've obtained enough audience to keep watching. Thats the issue with aew: they haven't marketed themselves perfectly. Its not the story or matches or wrestlers, its their brand and tony needs to rebrand himself because the most hate aew is receiving all leads back to him. Once he fix the branding, then aew can fill seats, sell outs shows and be a true 2nd place for wrestlers to perform. Because the whole "we have partnership blank promotion" is now becoming a common practice with TNA, Marigold & rumored Pro Wrestling Noah partnership with wwe.

A tag team who has been together for ten years should be broken up? Really? Road Warriors, Sheepherders, Rock and Roll Express, Midnight Express, given they did have three or so different variations, but Why would you break up New Day? It seems like this is what they want. They might one day decide to on their own, but right now they are New Day and that's fine. Remember all those tag teams did stay together for a long time. I feel the same about AEW right now. Its a very mid product, just kinda there, nothing to get excited by. This week again was a frustrating watch - the crowds at AEW are just killing the show for me. More and more now they only react to high spots now and remain almost silent for the rest of the show. Ospreay v Fenix - awesome wrestling match but little investment from the audience, and that was featuring one of the companies top guys. The Rush match. Practically silent, then post match he grabbed the mic and told the fans to "shut up!". I mean, it was crickets until MJFs music hit. AEW just feels really flat at the moment.
