@@VAshleyETC So do you have a "plan" on how to try and get better or taking it day by day... It is hard when you have been sick for many years... Sometimes I feel I try to find something to see if it will get better other times I don't know if I just need to surrender and let me body do what it is going to do.
@VAshleyETCАй бұрын
I go through waves of both I think. Sometimes I go through a period where determined to try all of the things. I have a list of medications and I’m ready to go. But then there are periods of times where I’m too exhausted and just focus on resting. Sometimes I dip into apathy. I’m now focusing on just trying to move at the speed of my own body. To not feel like I have to be in a rush to get better, but to not lose hope that there’s something that may help me feel better when I am ready. Just focusing on giving myself grace and not feeling bad about it either way
@VAshleyETCАй бұрын
So yes I do have certain treatments I want to try. There are so many. But I’m often too scared or too tired to do research on the treatments so I wait until I feel confident. But I’ve waited a few years one time and that was detrimental. So I just try to balance it out. Try new things when I have the energy to feel more confident about trying it, and taking breaks from that when needed

Years ago I worked at an Intermediate Care Facility where all the residents had Cerebral Palsy. Everyone was in wheelchairs. One day I had to take a resident to the ENT. It was a follow-up after having an ear infection. She could hear perfectly, just couldn't speak. She used a computer to talk. This doctor kept screaming at her. So I told the doctor in a quiet voice that her hearing was fine. His response was "I know", then continued to yell. 🙄

Healthcare should be the most accessible place, but it’s actually the least. 🤷♀️ I have had moderate to severe muscle tension Dysphonia with post viral illness (dengue fever, 10 yrs ago). It’s been extremely frustrating when I need to do business and am unable to do it via email or text. Wishing you good health. 🩵

Pay for your own interpreter dont raise insurance premiums for us all
@perregrine5 ай бұрын
Did you know that diagnostic delays and errors account for an estimated 30% of healthcare spending? Interpreters allow for faster and more accurate communication and have been found to be cost-effective as a result. They're also a reasonable adjustment under disability law and so that cost is already included and that service would be available for you if you ever needed it. Administrative costs are up to another 30% of healthcare spending and equivalent to three times the cost of cancer care. Are you sure patients with access needs are who you should be blaming for your insurance premiums?

You need to send it back as soon as possible and if they don't want to give you any money or do anything tell him you're going to get a lawyer

@Mistress-Noir4 ай бұрын
I agree with the commenter you need to threaten to sue and if they still show resistance not only do you really contact a lawyer but you should make vid n post on all platforms about the situation. And make them aware of it. “What do u think will look better? You actually fixing the chair or giving me a new one since I paid out of pocket? OR your company blasted all over social media and the news about how you treat your customers that are in need because of their health issues? I know which my lawyer would recommend you go for but that’s just me. What’s going to be your choice?”

@VAshleyETC5 ай бұрын
Sigh. Thank you 💛. I cried a bit out of frustration but I guess I’m so used to it now almost 20 doctors later that I just cry a little and keep it going. I don’t have state disability coverage just disability coverage from my job which is pretty good! But i “make too much” from my disability payments to qualify for free transposition and stuff like that which sucks.

@@VAshleyETC I was thinking of you this morning and the testing..... Have you looked into Ulta lab to see if they can run some of the blood work?.... You can order it directly from them and bypass the doctor.... They don't have all the tests, but I have used them many times.... Also, have you checked your local county disability agencies to see if they have anything to offer for help?

New subscriber.... Can you do a video on how you deal with a chronic illness and keeping a healthy mindset?
@VAshleyETC5 ай бұрын
I am so sorry. Grieving, and processing, and just surviving is so difficult some days. In the meantime while I work on the video, some things that helped me were finding a trusted friend, even if it’s just one, who would allow me to vent. Prayer (though I know this is specific to certain ppl), and Yoga Nidra meditations. The app insight timer really really helped me. It’s free! I started by joining the live meditations and felt just so welcomed. There’s chronic ill groups on there that can help you. Lastly facebook has some amazing support groups. I had to get off there bc sometimes it can be too much for me to see others suffering so often, but they can be really supportive too. I’m sorry you’re going through this. Here for you!

As someone who will be a doctor in a few weeks, in the US we have no control over anything. Insurance and businesspeople make the rules and it hurts our patients and we hate it. But younger docs are fighting back. I know I will be, not just because I’m a doctor but because I’m also chronically ill and disabled and can never afford to see a doctor as my body gets worse.

It’s a 100% fair request but keep in mind if you’re in the US healthcare system they’re already dealing with 30-50% under hiring due to lack of funding and in some cases having to close the ER for hours every day, expecting interpreters is…. Optimistic.
