@@ProfSivakumarRajagopalan Sir, after watching SVM’s lectures, I feel this is just the beginning. He has generated that interest in group theory which is supposedly the toughest in Mathematical physics. I request you to carry forward this playlist from character table onwards to lie groups, rotations, molecular symmetries Roots, weights , Dynkin diagrams etc.

in the minute 39 how to consider rough is constant in ds2 even d(rough) is changing? Best regards...
@ProfSivakumarRajagopalan2 ай бұрын
In the cartesian system, if x changes to (x+dx) then differential is dx. When this happens we don't allow y and z to vary. In cylindrical polar system, if phi changes to (phi + dphi) then its differential change is (rho)*(dphi). This is the reason why rho comes into picture. It also means that when phi changes we should not allow rho and z to change. Similarly when z changes to (z+dz) we hold other two variables not to change so that its differential is dz.

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the insightful physics lectures you've been sharing on KZfaq. Your explanations have been incredibly helpful in deepening my understanding of the subject. Your ability to break down complex concepts into digestible chunks makes learning physics a much more enjoyable experience. As someone deeply interested in the subject, I was wondering if you could consider incorporating a series of lectures on thermodynamics into your schedule. I believe your expertise and teaching style would greatly benefit those of us eager to delve into this fascinating branch of physics. Thank you sir✨ for your dedication to sharing knowledge and inspiring curiosity in your viewers. I look forward to continuing to learn from your future lectures.
