Great video, how did you get the two throttle mounts that are small with no large mount with mouse space? All of the other videos I see they have one smaller mount and one bigger mount for an optional mouse pad config? I prefer it the way you have it, just curious how you were able to get a different mount.

I have to correct one point of your video, there are non-adjustable dampers installed. At 2:10 in your video its the black circular device mounted with two screws above the cam the other one is mounted under the half-moon plastic cover at the ball of the stick iteself. These are removable and an adjustable version is coming in future. They are shown on Page 6,7 & 35 of the User Manual PDF. I only just found out myself but wanted to share the info, as they don't seem to do very much, although I haven't removed them to see the difference. I also hate the pendulm effect of having the heavy Hog stick on there, I think clutches would have made this base so much better.

I agree on the mounting holes. Yeah, most may have them, but on the bottom. Much like the vkb gladiator sticks, the mounting holes are right there on top. I like that it has adjustable width, maybe they could go a bit narrower for really small frames, but that's a good shoulder width. Not having a permanently attached cable is a big plus IMHO. You can use your own length, or get the right cable instead of having to use adapters, it's the only way to go. I don't have an x-box, I'm not much of a console person and don't do my gaming on the couch. However, I don't really like the idea of having to plug it into another controller as a pass-through, but get why it's necessary on a console.

Yea I think their hands will be tied in a sense with the passthrough thing on a console.

Force feedback CLS-60 flitesim is more affordable but still about a $1000. Brunner CLS-E MK II about $2000. Rudder pedals & MK II Yoke bundle is about $3600.... If only the price for bundle was 1000, then i buy. For now, i will use a cheaper yoke around 300. Turtle Beach Velocity One Flight and pedals 500. Until force feedback in a bundle around $800... i pass. It's great if its your hobby, not for casual players

This looks like they took the old Saitek/Logitech design and added a few extra features, but the rudder action and smoothness in that design is rubbish (I know, I had them before moving onto the massively better Virpil ACE pedals) and looks the same here. Turtle Beach should have done more research before going that route on the most important aspect. If they had done it differently, even to the cost of cutting features, say the adjustable width and got the price down a touch they could have had a winner for the entry level rudder pedals range. As it is I’d never recommend this for PC users. For consoles, well, I don’t know, there’s not a lot of choice, but then again, console flight simmers shouldn’t be surprised by that.

Great review, I've had these for a year or so now on PC, I've noticed that the width setting influences the noise and friction for some reason. For almost $500 to substitute a mouse over seven dials? I just don't have a need for that. What would be fun is a similar product without the cost of the screen, to be used in VR. I've held off on a G1000 unit for the same reason. I don't need the cost of a screen when it's just the buttons I'm after, so I'm plenty content to hold on to my money, and my mouse.

I really can’t justify spending anywhere near that much for any controller that will break far too soon for its price. If they had a lifetime warranty I’d be more open to it. I went through 3 X-52s when the warranty went out that was the end of that, never again. I’ll have to admit I wasn’t expecting a turtle beach product to even look half decent.

TurtleBeach is definitely at work with their flight sim products. But, I'm not able to justify a HOTAS setup that's the same price as their yoke setup. Knock $100USD off and maybe it's considerable. The X52 and X56 are still far superior, especially with one being less price than this.

Too hard? Lol no, sometimes slightly challenging if you choose to make it so? Sure. For easy and simple planes like f16 and f18 doing basic things like aircraft startup take a minute or two, do it few times and you remember it. Air to air refueling and carrier landings take a few hours or practise in a good weather, no challenge there after a few weeks. All air to ground weapons are very simple, few button presses and they rarely miss. Doing all that in a thunderstorm at night starts to bring the challenge, but rarely find that online. PvP is just as hard as every other pvp game, everyone with more free time will beat you and you beat everyone who has less time to practise.
