I've learned over the years that some engines need to be coaxed to run, like it's a chore for them to run. Others just want to run, like this one.

This makes me miss mine so badly. She ended up with MBD (metabolic bone disease) unfortunately and passed.
@christianz3445 жыл бұрын
Make sure you have UVB or they will guaranteed get MBD. Also feed with calcium at least twice a week. If you did both those things, not sure why it got MBD

Yea I have 2 pairs of adult ackies. Both males are puppy dogs, bearded dragon tame. Both females are trusting but don't like handling more than a minute or so.

Hi mate, I'm a fellow collared keeper myself. I keep and breed three localities of collaris, also dickersonae and vestigium. I thought your video was pretty decent but I'd like to make a suggestion. Your enclosure is lacking in ambient light - it's pretty dark. Collareds like it bright, really bright, so you could add some extra LEDs to increase the visible light. A couple of 13w LEDs, one 4000k and one 6500k. These along with your T5 would give you a nice range of visible light and increase the over all brightness.
@bmxking65825 жыл бұрын
Great advise. Honestly I could use more light, but for some reason the video is way darker than it really is in there. My enclosures now have 2 bulb t5 fixtures. I use 1 uvb and 1 daylight florescent. I found good deals on 2 bulb t5 fixtures on eBay and amazon, they are marketed as grow lights.

How often do you feed? Do you always just put feed in the bowl and they come to it? Do you have an elevated food bowl at all? Thanks!
@stephaniemccoy39846 жыл бұрын
These look great. Your set up is awesome. I just saw one of these for the first time but the pet store said it hasn't been eating well and they have talked to other stores and they can't keep them alive. Are they very fragile? I have been pretty successful with my Chameleon and also have a baby Bearded. I love the look of these guys!
@Ndub3306 жыл бұрын
The problem with these is that most of them are wild captured wich explains the high mortality
@bmxking65825 жыл бұрын
@@Ndub330 exactly, they are imported with worms, parasites, and dehydration.

Expensive set up but VERY nice.It's good to see someone that understands the needs of more fragile and enviromentally sensitive lizards.These creatures suffer easily if not set up right.Happy to see a happy lizard!

UnicornBlush wild caught ones can be nippy and skittish but captive born ones like these have really good temperaments. I've never had a CB collared bite me. They won't hang out on your hand all day like a beardie but they will chill out for awhile as long as you don't try to detain them, always handle them with an open hand and they will learn to trust you quickly.
@blushface6 жыл бұрын
Heh, I wish I could take one on... but I already have 4 beardies, can't take on much more right now sadly! These guys are just so dang cuteeee. their little, curious faces!
