From the comments in some of the other reviews, they say the tarvosaurus has the best range in the head/neck out of this body type. Personally, I only have this figure of said size group, the Daspletosaurus; and likewise the tongue in my copy is stuck pointing sideways like yours. DONT try to move it, I tried and it’s showing stress marks- even after heating the figure. Otherwise, I love the devilish look of the face of this critter. Sweet review 😊🦖

Nice review and tobay is my birthday ,my thoughts on the dasp is that ther xolor is good but compared to alberto,gorgo and tarbo i feel like it is left behind easily fo me but the main problem for me is the sculpt because in my opinion it looks weird and doesn't look like a dasp and i too chunky for a dasp or too big so yea
@Saberrex1
@Saberrex1 2 ай бұрын
It definitely looks like a typical Daspletosaurus, and I say that from seeing the specimen from the Field Museum of Natural history in Chicago. However, you might be thrown off because David was using mass estimations to better reconstruct them. Daspletosaurus was pretty chunky, more so than Gorgosaurus. And three species of Daspletosaurus exist, so some variation likely existed between the weights of each one.

They would’ve lived in gangs, like Komodo dragons and crocodilians word, and then, after that, they would go their separate ways after the feast of a carcass juveniles probably eat last of the carcass, while the adults eat, and they compete against each other just like crocodilians would do today
@Saberrex1
@Saberrex1 4 ай бұрын
Let me then ask you... how do you know that? A bone bed full of different aged animals seems to suggest a social structure different than a mob or gang. Beyond that, group living may have been the norm for tyrannosaurids. Albertosaurus, Teratophoneus, Daspletosaurus, Tarbosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus itself all have been found in bone beds consisting of multiple individuals. The chances are very high that they did live in groups rather than just gathering for kills. Beyond that, fossil trackways from tyrannosaurs in the Wapiti formation do suggest some tyrannosaurids did hunt and travel together, as the tracks in question show three animals moving together, one of which was missing a toe.
@tyrannotherium7873
@tyrannotherium7873 4 ай бұрын
@@Saberrex1 well, since we know that Tyrannosaurus brain was more that of crocodilians, we can analyze that they hunted in gangs just like crocodilians we have to look at their behavior and their brain structure and the best person who knows about this is Dr. Larry Whitmer from Ohio state university.

@@Saberrex1 if we look at crocodilians, yes they’re together, but they usually don’t hunt together unless if it’s a big season event like a migrate in season like the wildebeest migration, so large Theropods would probably do the same thing

Then let's agree to disagree. The Australian water dragon is in my opinion a great reference for the color scheme of Albertosaurus. Plus, in Albertosaurus' environment, this coloration would work as great camouflage. I would not be surprised at all if the real animal had a color scheme that was similar (though perhaps brighter in the males).

The blue on Gorgosaurus is so wonderful, the only criticism on the large Tyrannosaurs are the feet joints. Luckily, David Silva is making updates on the Allosaurus with swivel hinge joint and he also plans to fix this with the rest of the previous figures.

Legit came here to ask how was the foot joints on the body type 4 Tyrannosaur figures from other people who bought this body type. I have the Daspletosaurus, and its foot (and oddly tail base also) is TOO easy to pop off. But the feet are so loose it can't stand on the poseable legs at all. Here's to hoping a new set of swivel hinge feet are released, similarly to the upcoming Dryptosaurus 'parts upgrade kit'.

And how would you know that? I ask because I have read the academic journals that described the pack of Teratophoneus in the Rainbows and Unicorns Quarry (yes, that's the site name), in Utah where the fossils were uncovered. The youngest specimen in the quarry was 4 years old at the time of death, while the oldest was 22 years old. Comparing it with other tyrannosaurids that have been found suggests a true pack; a family group, not a gang or mob, like in Komodo dragons.
