I really enjoy it and I call mine “Hurt Erasers” because it’s a nice conversation starter for people who are unfamiliar

When you say " you might have to balance it out if you use a Curaçao when a recipe calls for Triple Sec", how would you suggest to balance it out? I am a freaking Marg nut and love making all different types, but I think this video will help me dial in which 🟠 to use and when.

Probitas means honesty, probity. uprightness. Veritas means “truth” or “reality” in Latin, Both are Latin, apparently Veritas has a naming issue in the USA

Now I can explain to my guests why my Lagavulin at home is smokey. Lol :) I'll be in Edinburgh 2 weeks later and I want to grab a bottle as a souvenir. Any recommendations ?

Cheers, meu amigo. Good call showing a drink all the way here from from Brasil (that's how we write it) beyond the overrated and overexposed caipirinha. Obrigado.

I wish we could still buy smaller bottles of vermouth. Most home bartenders just don't get through regular bottles while they're fresh

Actually, "The El President" is correct, because it is the proper name of the cocktail. To say, "We are making El Presidente" would imply you are making a Cuban dictator. Grammar nerd, sorry.

Anders, IMHO, NEVER use even a single drop of Fee Brothers Orange Bitters in a Martini, unless you want the world's worst Bronx Cocktail. Just sayin'....

I hadn't heard of the blind russian with irish cream, my friend's and I thought we were clever when we used Bailey's instead of cream and called the drink the Kosmonaut.

Zubrowka, the one with the buffalo grass, to me, adds a coconut kind of flavor, and smooth. I prefer not to have the ethanol flavor/burn aftertaste, and like Ciroc the best. The red berries flavor and cranberry makes me think of big league chew bubble gum.

I wouldn't be mad at longer format videos. So much history, types, styles and varieties; 45 minutes to an hour, would be great!

I finally got around to making this. in fact, I ended up doing it at a small dinner party. As I was making six mojitos, in the slow style, I realized halfway through that it was not the right way to do it. It was taking way too long. Never make more than two at a time with the slow style! They are better though!

Bullshit out of your mouth … espresso martini was made at the savoy by Peter Dorelli for most people the greatest Barman ever lived ….the legend wanted that Kate Moss walked at the Savoy Bar completely on drugs and asked Dorelli to make her something to wake her up And so the Cocktail was born …. The rest is history ( not yours apparently )

I have the ‘Time Life Books Wines and Spirits Recipes’ book from their 1968 Foods of the World Series. It has all the famous drinks from that time. Here’s their Pousse-Cafe recipe: Variation 1: 1.5 tsp green crème de menthe 1.5 tsp yellow Chartreuse 1.5 tsp Cherry Heering 1.5 tsp cognac Variation 2: 1.5 tsp crème d’amande 1.5 tsp white crème de menthe 1.5 tsp Grand Marnier Variation 3: 3tsp parfait amour 3tsp Crème Yvette A 1 to 2 ounce cordial or liqueur glass A pousse-cafe, often called a rainbow cordial, is an after dinner, drink composed of differently colored liqueurs poured into a tall, narrow cordial glass, one at a time, so that the ingredients remain separate and do not combine. 2 to 7 liqueurs can be used, but you must start with the heaviest so that the layers will remain in individual suspension. A steady hand, and considerable patients, is required to make this showy, spectacular drink successfully. Unfortunately, it is impossible to chart the weights of the various liqueurs since a flavor may vary in density from one distiller to another. Trial and error may be necessary until you find the combination of weights, colors and flavors that suits you. Place the liqueur glass on a flat, steady surface and pour in the green crème de menthe. Place a demitasse spoon upside down in the glass and very slowly pour the yellow chartreuse over the back of the spoon, letting it trickle off onto the crème de menthe. Complete this layer of liquor, wipe the spoon, dry and proceed with the Cherry Heering. As the cognac is very light, it will float on top. Two other combinations have been suggested in the ingredients list and should be poured in the order given. --- That’s the 1968 way, enjoy

I had always wanted to find something to sip on as I created my den in my home. I tried whiskey, couldn't do it. Tried Scotch, couldn't do it. Then went to Cognac. Went up the line in quality until I came across Hardy XO Rare Fine Champagne and have sipped on nothing but that for the last 5 years. I decided to try some Rum just to see. Did a little research about light and dark Rums and bought some Equiano . This is amazing as it is aged in Cognac barrels from their blend. I have found my new sipping drink.
