I like to watch these videos telling of a future human existence on Mars, but they lack some really big problems that need to be addressed. How will the effect of low gravity be on our bodies? When children are born and raised on Mars will they ever be able to come to Earth? How do we know how deep the radiation goes from the surface? How will making stuff out of Martian soil not be radioactive? The last one is very interesting and I don’t see it mentioned in any of these videos, on Mars our rovers have detected an isotope or element that was not found on Earth or anywhere else in a natural state until 1945, that element was only found after detonation of nuclear bombs. If that element is on Mars then why is it there? The very real possibility is that Mars in the past may have had life that developed to be advanced enough to develop and extinguish their existence through a nuclear war that destroyed all life on Mars. If that is the case, could that civilization have helped in human development 1000’s of years ago? There is a lot more exploring and testing that needs to be done before humans attempt to live on Mars.

wonderful video! No, I'm convinced that : the acceleration phase will last at least an entire year to prevent the passengers and the ship from experiencing too much force. it is difficult to predict how much distance will be covered in a year of acceleration, because the acceleration is exponential. Certainly not 15 days. the same for the braking phase.

It’s not going to take a 100 years anytime soon. The nearest star to Earth, excluding the Sun, is Proxima Centauri, which is approximately 4.24 light-years away. The fastest spacecraft to date is the Parker Solar Probe, which travels at a maximum speed of about 430,000 miles per hour (700,000 kilometers per hour). To estimate how long it would take the Parker Solar Probe to reach Proxima Centauri, we can perform the following calculations: 1. **Distance to Proxima Centauri**: \(4.24 \text{ light-years}\) - 1 light-year = 5.88 trillion miles (9.46 trillion kilometers) - Distance in miles: \(4.24 \times 5.88 \text{ trillion miles} = 24.96 \text{ trillion miles}\) 2. **Speed of the Parker Solar Probe**: 430,000 miles per hour 3. **Time = Distance / Speed** \[ \text{Time} = \frac{24.96 \text{ trillion miles}}{430,000 \text{ miles per hour}} \] Calculating this: \[ \text{Time} = \frac{24,960,000,000,000 \text{ miles}}{430,000 \text{ miles per hour}} \] \[ \text{Time} \approx 58,000,000 \text{ hours} \] To convert hours into years: \[ 1 \text{ year} \approx 8,760 \text{ hours} \] \[ \text{Time in years} = \frac{58,000,000 \text{ hours}}{8,760 \text{ hours per year}} \] \[ \text{Time in years} \approx 6,622 \text{ years} \] Therefore, it would take approximately 6,622 years for the Parker Solar Probe to reach Proxima Centauri, our nearest star, traveling at its maximum speed.

This is Muskian propaganda. Elon Musk is a pro-Russian anti-Ukrainian anti-democratic anti-human rights authoritarian totalitarian oligarch. He takes credit for the work of others, and he is taking advantage of his entrenched position in the United States. He outsources his industrial empire as all the other billionaires do to cheap labor and slave labor countries. He cares for nothing but his own egotistical agenda. Do your own research. Do it and dig deep. You will discover what he really is.

Why go to a rogue planet? Wouldn't we benefit more by traveling to a planet similar to earth? And the fuel would definitely be an issue. Also, these astronauts wouldn't have much muscle after being asleep that long which could compromise their ability to function

NASA just released a long term study on space impact on the human body and the real bad news is that space has a major negative shrinking effect on the kidneys. So long term space habitation will not go ahead.

This is a way too optimistic prediction. I bet it will take us more than 100 years to reach the state described for 2038. But I'd be happy if I was wrong.

A very interesting concept, except no one addressed the White Elephant in the room. How successful do they really think that a homogeneous 7th generation utopian society would suddenly react to the sudden presence of a hibernated, Earth based mentality, ruling class of elites suddenly appearing to take control of their new World. This would be the real story to ponder. Talk about spreading Earth’s social diseases across the galaxy! Where do one’s allegiances go?
