Now I'm a pretty dense guy, but I think that JV fella was hitting on you Richard. "No Richard, I only have you." "Please stop, picture of you attached [attaches picture of an adorable kitten]" I mean, come on, I think you're the melons to his Pedro :'D Also I kinda want "You just a gay femboy hater / you just a gay, femboy hater" to replace "Let's eat, kids / let's eat kids" as the template for the importance of ponctuation.

16.5k elo on AU servers, definitely a massive decrease in cheaters since past few updates and still a large amount of players whinging and calling people better than them hackers. Same people who refuse to download demo and realise they're just inept

Even if the other person is being needlessly combative, I don't think it's healthy to continue a conversation in bad faith. The "mathcel" seems a little strange, but he is correct that <4% cheaters could be called "statistically insignificant" in some contexts and still be enough to ruin most play sessions. Seems like you were deliberately ignoring the factual arguments so you could wind him up with rhetoric and then giggle about how you "won" by making him mad over the internet. You're setting the rules for engagement here, so don't be surprised if people do this to you in the future. And it'll probably be quite easy because you publicly document all the things that make you mad. If you wanted to avoid conflict (unlikely), instead of demanding citations and sources, ie "where did I say that?", you could instead just summarize and clarify your positions, ie "I think cheating isn't a problem under 25k" or whatever the subject is. When you ask for a quote or timestamp, it sounds like you're using a time wasting defensive tactic. Like "hey you need to go re-watch a 3 hour stream and write a research paper on it while I continue to spout from the top of my dome". There are memes about this tactic. Also as a journalist, you know full well that it's possible to imply something without ever stating it exactly. You can even lay out a bunch of ideas over the course of an hour and give a general impression to the audience without ever making a specific sound-byte-able claim. Most people aren't going to have the language ability or time to break down and analyze a strategy like this, they'll just pick up on it intuitively. That's where you get the "just state your real opinion" arguments from people, because they're getting the impression that you're trying to say something without saying it and when you answer that with "source bro?", it just reinforces that impression.
@GorimuСағат бұрын
What concrete factual arguments was he ignoring? (Mind that fact needs to be provably true.) Also it is not unreasonable to demand a proof when someone claims that you have said something you know you have not said. Lying about something like that is easy while finding proof is not difficult. If you are arguing in good faith surely you can rewatch a 3 hour stream to show that you indeed are correct. The mathcel in question (you?) clearly has no idea how sampling in statistics work and is not willing to engage with evidence. Why on earth would anyone debate in good faith someone hostile who has nothing to bring to the table?
@Badspot18 минут бұрын
@@Gorimu What I mean by factual argument is one that is falsifiable. Making a statement that can be proven true or false. "4% of people in CS2 are cheating" is a factual claim that can be investigated and supported or disproven with evidence. You could also make a counter claim like "actually it's more like 0.1%". This is opposed to unclear statements like "there are a lot of cheaters" or "cheating is rare", or outright contradiction "I encountered a cheater" "no you didn't", or the pinnacle of internet debate: name calling "you are a *cel"

It seems crazy to me that you could be a fan of someone, watch them for a long time, then not give them the benefit of the doubt when they inevitably make a mistake. People are allowed to make mistakes and people are allowed to make different decisions than you would. It's not that complicated and everyone needs a chill pill. They're either not your fan or they're not stable enough to want as a fan.

22:00 Insecurity about appearance is a significant reason why people often discuss weight, facial features, and other aspects of their looks online . I don't know if you were genuinely asking or it was a rhetorical question , also looks also come up a lot in real life conversation but people try to be more sensitive in person for obvious reasons .

Subtick is already way better than it was on launch and is now just mildly annoying when it doesn't work as intended but not game breaking. I have faith that we will see the return of jiggle peeking and get back to dying behind walls being rare instead of semi common.
@Vandyno4 сағат бұрын
Game is definitely just a lot more janky in general… as someone who never had a complaint about GO, I can’t help but feel a little indignant when Richard is gaslighting me that CS2 is all good to play. It’s not terrible, but there’s definitely some serious shit that needs to be addressed that seems to be the fault of subtick. (Mostly teleporting when you get hit and absurd peekers advantage/latency compared to GO) He hasn’t played the game enough and isn’t good enough at it to understand how it actually feels to someone who does/is I love the guy but honestly he just doesn’t have the context needed to make the reasonable argument here. For me, I think he’s very close to the mark, but misses just due to missing the experience of actually being a regular player. Vast majority of the whining about CS2 is braindead, I don’t care about operations, or cases, or any sort of cosmetics, or even new maps. I just want my crisp gunplay back.
@Vandyno4 сағат бұрын
I do agree that it will probably get better, but forgive me a little for wishing they’d figure something out relatively soon.

@@BMJYDK I have never played CS2 and don't complain about it on the internet so I don't fully understand, but I do hate the trend of game devs decommissioning a perfectly functional game in favor of a new, unfinished game. When CSGO launched, it's not like CSS and 1.6 stopped existing.
