Unfortunately for this band "Ever Afer" was the record that did make them lose their underground following, just like one student here asked about. The band members mentioned that they liked Janes Addiction, which was the band (along with RHCP and Fishbone) that kind of wiped out the LA area synth-pop and stale metal bands by '89. Sweet guys but I wish they would not went synth-pop and stayed in the underground. Oh well, we can't have everything. Nice upload.

Cougar’s shtick got old before he walked out. His sophomoric behavior sullied an otherwise magnificent night. I say this admitting I like his music. But as a person, he needs to grow up (at least from when this recorded).

I find it fascinating that Cass recorded easy come, easy go after this show for her album. The song is one of my favourites I never knew Bobby sang it first!! I wonder if this is where she got the idea lol

Bill Cosby was a good looking guy back in the day. You can't tell me those chicks weren't doing all they could to get something thrown their way. Free drugs, some $, and whatever they could get...same as they did with Beatty, Hefner and the rest. Then Cosby became an easy mark in all their old age, after he wanted to buy NBC later, and suddenly all their shenanigans back then warranted a pretense of " his actions were against my will." But only Cosby's... remember... only Cosby.

It's so great that they got a chance to play together and to have this honor bestowed before Zolly passed. Sure, they sounded a bit rough, but the spirit was still there 100%, and even though Mellencamp was a bit goofy, the band's dedications were heartfelt and sincere. A feel-good moment all around! :)
