Do you have another pattern that I could follow for the waistline? I’m too scared to go off-book yet

Hello Dressmaking Amore! This is truly a beautiful skirt! I am making this in silk chiffon to wear at my wedding with a second layer of silk underneath. I just finished making a "practice skirt" before cutting into my nice fabric. (The size was perfect, by the way.) I had trouble keeping it from puckering when I sewed the waistband to the skirt because there was a little too much ease. Do you have any tips for how to deal with that scenario?

I'd been putting it off for a while, but I finally made this dress out of some crepe de chine a couple of weekends ago. It was my first time working with non-stretch fabric and I was really intimidated. I didn't even know how to use the buttonhole function on my machine! It was challenging, but I LOVE how it came out! I've already cut out fabric to make another one out of a light satin.
