I got married a year before my spouse joined the military. I did not want him to join because we just had a baby. I don’t care for all of the benefits (they really are not that great) I just want my husband back. I miss him so much. We had a long distance relationship before so we have already been through the worst before we were married but still. It is extremely difficult without him. He is the one and the only. All of the benefits in the world mean nothing compared to having him here. We had a wonderful life together and now it has been put on hold. It is not fair but I will never let that come between our marriage. I will hold on to what we have had together until my dying breath. I won’t find another person like him in a million years. So I will hold on forever.

You can face disciplinary action for doing that? No wonder so many soldiers end up banging hookers.

Keep in mind ALL women need more safety and maybe they view it as the job they are here to be how qualified are you to protect and love one woman more then yourself it’s a military mind to feel in love and guard a life over your own

I realize this is an old video, but I had a question. how does recruitment work if there are no recruiters for my desired branch near where I live? I live in the middle of nowhere, and the only way you can get into town is by flying...

Are the rules on asthma changed now? I still get prescribed inhalers sometimes for allergies, but I haven’t been diagnosed with asthma since before I was 13. Would it be a disqualifier for Marines?

Great video, thank you. As soon as I see "bf" or "gf" in the comment section, I just wish that people would wait till marriage. It is the best filter I swear. You will then end up with your husband or wife only and not have 5 other casual relationships beforehand.

I just came back San Diego got dropped from bootcamp I’m 26 I’m disappointed, but I decided on t7 was my last day there , caught a case before I left I just knew it was the right thing to do , since I knew sooner or later they would find out about it , why waste my time there just to not finish bootcamp. Or even worse get more in trouble after completing training . I refuse it on t7 got arrested , just made it home 3 nights ago , but I will try again . At least I know I’m prepared to what to come

Have them cut by a tailor shop two folds before the last fold. Have them put elastic on the inside (near your torso) then sewn. Fold once and youre out the door. Plus (in the woodland, sta-flow and jungle boots era) we used to have every pocket sewn down except right butt and left breast pockets. Damn i miss heavy starched covers with octogon cutouts put in them and tailored cami blouses. Only garrison cammies.

I smoked weed in my early life. I still made it through basic. Now one must pass the drug screening process. Things are different today. Don't shoot. It did not kill me nor destroy me.

My boyfriend and I had a long distance relationship in the same state. He’s in the Air Force. We have a connection with each other. We’ve been going slow in our relationship. We both have great respect for each other. We’ve been together since 2019, we’ve had some hiccups along the way, but by golly, Papa God, got us back together many times I feel like. He’s so patient with me. I’m supposed to hang out with him this weekend after his reserves here in Houston. God Bless, I have three family members who were veterans. So I have a deep respect for the military.

Despite my drill sergeants emphatically telling us to tell our families to NOT send packages with goodies there'd still be someone getting a package. My drills would shake it, say it sounded like cookies, and then drop and 'accidentally' stomp on the package. I once had cough drops confiscated during search after returning from our 2 hour Sunday afternoon leave to enjoy the shitty mini-PX because it was considered 'candy' (Hall's?) and had a can of 'Parade Gloss' Kiwi boot black confiscated as it had to be regular. Letters are the ONLY tangible link you have with the outside world and they were very important to us. (Oh yea, do not let your girlfriend spray perfume on a letter for a drill sergeant to discover.)
