Nas had a good record in 2008 called N.I.G.G.E.R. that was changed to untitled. Saul Williams also had a good record out in 2007 the Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust. They both dealt with the N-word and the ideas of race in an honest way that reflects their lives. Drake could bring a unique and different perspective, but is he that kind of artist? I think he's got the intelligence and creativity, but it really couldn't be in a pop lane. That would be amazing if Drake came out with a record dealing with black culture as a bi-racial man, because a lot of people are still struggling with that perspective. And the world surely could use some help in bringing people together..... Just some thoughts..

Very smart young man and had a lot of foresight about the labels etc. You can tell he was an actor also, very used to speaking and expressing in conversation. Fast forward reached such heights but slightly spoiled. Kendrick bodied him in the beef though.

True. Not only that but he even says that Spotify named him the number one unsigned artist. He was totally famous before this interview. Also he says himself in this that without Degrassi he wouldn’t be so big. It’s awesome that he’s been doing well for so long. I wonder how long he can go.

Degrassi wasn’t that famous back then. He was only making 50k a year from the show
