I remember seeing that lighthouse. We headed out at night hoping for softer seas. On a 40' trawler. Turned bad quick. Seas bigger than our boat. We could not turn around and go back. The waves were to close together and we thought we would roll over. So we pounded head on into what i remember as 20' seas. Crashing over our flybridge. Driving pretty much straight west from the man made basin. I ciuld see the light house all night. In 6-8 hours i dont think we made any headway. After a tanker chaged course to be up side of us and knock down waves giving us time to turn ariund and try surfing these waves back. Took twenty minutes to be back at lighthouse. Craziest night of my life. I did not think we would survive. Be careful. But also enjoy that wonderful life

We were told there was a movie theater. Turned out to be a tiny bar with a satellite and tv.

In have the 23 model, with 60 hp standard. The engine is the same as teh one in seadoo spark. So its no problem chipping it to 90 hp. But i need to change the impeller then, to avoid too much rpms, and also change the ingrate to one more «cheesgrade» looking, to get a better grip in small wawes? Any thoughts?

Don't come back to Bonaire. You walk in places near the lagoon that are marked not to enter, while wild birds fly away from you. You feed flamingoes which is harmful. You fly a drone, which is prohibited on the island. Shame on you.

I sailed at dawn out of Tampa Bay once to head south. no ais. got about 300 yards from one of them pitch black and they must of seen me on a collision course cause they flipped on these huge lights all over the ship that looked like a stadium lit up outta nowhere right in front of me. I turned around went to Gulfport then left the next morning at dawn so I wasn't going thru Tampa Bay at night

In that situation again blow the sheet, start the motor and head up wind slightly to depower yourself. Then you’ve bought yourself minutes to think, check and experiment. Sailing is often about buying yourself time to think so you don’t react in panic, if you’re not sure what to do.

How do people learn all of these nuances? There is not a chance in hell I could even begin to comprehend that electrical diagram 😂
