When Irene Dunne first arrived in Hollywood in 1930 (after having acted on the stage for 10 years), the studio with which she had signed a long term contract (RKO) wanted her to keep her marriage to Dr. Frank Griffin a secret for fear that it would ruin her popularity as a rising star. Miss Dunne and Dr. Griffin had been married since 1927. The truth finally came out and Irene was relieved because she wanted the world to know what a great part her husband had played in her achieving success. The Griffins were a devoted couple and remained married until Frank passed away in 1965. The object of their mutual affection was their adopted daughter Mary Frances. They were the proud grandparents of Mary Frances' two children and Irene would live long enough to become a great-grandmother. She passed away at the age of 91 on September 4, 1990.

Anyone that knows dancers can tell each one of her dancers like Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire are each different in style. Like Gene Kelly was more athletic style of dancing while Fred Astaire was suave in movements and style.

I wish these historical narratives would identify the people in pictures, or the names of movies shown in photos. I do get tired of just taking a ton of photos, mix them all together, then throw them into narration already written.

Her mother was no good! A predator to exploit her own child for profit...shame on you!! 😓😓🙏 And her father no better...went along...not caring how unsettled poor Gail was to sudden demanding pressure from Hollywood. She was too fragile for the business...😓😓

From everything I've ever read about the late great beautiful and very talented Ginger Rogers is that she had a controlling mother, who loved her, but was the "ultimate stage mother' who was her manager, along with the very tough studio head bosses! Between them and husbands who had to compete with that fame she had and all the money she earned it had to be hard! May she rest in peace~💗💗💗

Stiller was actually assigned to direct The Temptress, Garbo's second MGM film. But he was replaced by Fred Niblo when Stiller did not get along with his employers.

This commentary was inappropriate. Ford was simply a womanizer. It was known throughout Hollywood.

"Why Peggy Lipton Slept with EVERY MEN She Met? When you learn to use the english language correctly, then it may be worthwhile to watch your videos. Your display of ignorance overshadows your attempt to disparage a woman you don't even know.
