I bought June Allyson's book and Joan Blondell's book. It's interesting how Hollywood painted actors life and then you read what the actors have to say. In reality, many times differs one from the other. I like June Allyson as an actress and so her husband Dick Powell, he also was a good singer. Love to watch those tv programs he had, they still playing on cable and KZfaq. Joan Blondell was good in her wisecracking roles movies but in her book shows how bitter she was as a person, detailing how her husbands, all three of them made love to her and how bad they were to her. She wasn't too kind overall talking about her ex-husband Dick Powell. She details his "boring" sex method. I founded distasteful. She surely was sore about him marrying June Allyson. Sad. Blondell's book is title "Center Door Fancy" Although is suppose to be an autobiography all people mentioned in the book have fictional names including her own. If you read it you may be able to make your opinion.

i CANT watch any movie with June Allyson. It’s that whiny whiskey, voice, and in every movie, they usually call for her to start crying, and that’s when I leave. I also cannot watch any movie with Katherine Hepburn anymore, pretty much for the same reason, her voice.. I used to always watch executive suite, and, bringing up, baby, and desk set when they were on television. but enough is enough..
