It’s $650 line haul plus fuel surcharge which is $150 so the all in rate would be $800

My not so favorite headache is the constant calls from "dispatch" companies 😅😅😅 They always get pissed and offended when I tell them if they can beat what I dispatch myself at a minimum of 18k per week then I just might consider them

Hey thanks for replying to my other comment. Do you see this industry ( containers ) getting better anytime soon? I’ve been leased on to carriers and it’s been really bad this year… I’m actually moving to my old carrier I left last year when she ran out of work… current carrier rewrote our contract stating they can pay UP TO 70% of gross adjusted revenue…. In other words they can make the pay as low as they want by making up bogus customer charges. Actually we found out they are paying us about 46% of the load now… it’s hard to find honest carriers too.

In all honesty all I can say is I’m getting tons or freight brokers calling me. I mean it seems like the demand for carriers is starting to get higher cause my phone rings off the hook. All I hear is desperate dispatchers, and brokers basically begging me to haul their freight.

Majority of my work comes from Loadmatch.com and direct shippers. Loadmatch isn’t accepting new carrier at the moment due to freight volume being low. Man to keep it 100 nobody wants to share information about a trucking lane.

Houston ports is twice only but in free port tx their port you need have a port id and a twice card I'm trying to get back in it drove 15 years except for the last seven.messing with the wrong people would have you loose everything and it happened to me I miss the road the smell of diesel fuel.this time every body getting run over not letting nobody stop me I was surrounded by a lot snakes I didn't see until too late.where you out of what state

Besides the rate per mileage you have standard fees such as fuel surcharge chassis fee things like that that that go with every Haul and you have if needed fees which are 50/50 depending on the situation?

Yes but customers don’t like to see all those charges. So when you quote your customers you have to include all fees without a major break down of all charges.

If you buy your own chassis you just put your company logo on each side, add the last 8 of your vin and your SCAC code on all 4 sides of the chassis and make sure the chassis weight is posted on both part and right sides of the chassis.

@@congoexpress because there are company owners that have their motor carrier but they don't actually have a CDL driver's license

@@armobyzantine5881 yeah what they do is get someone with (most likely) a driver with 2 years or more experience and they use that driver to get the insurance. Once you have a certain amount of trucks you can self insure.

@@congoexpress if you self-insure in something happens the judge will pierce the corporate veil I used to have 85 vehicles and I wanted to self-insure in my lawyer said that's the dumbest thing you can ever do the judge will pierce the corporate veil and cancel your LLC
