I own 4 of these reels they are great . They are also used by kastking megatron identical reels.i own both. The megatron had a metal line wheel as the teben.has a ceramic line wheel so the teben.is better than the megatron. The only.down side as i mentioned before was that the metal plated reel foot peels and corrroids after awhile so I actually had to sand them back and prime then paint the foot then.no more issues. But they are getting rare now and only old stock is selling. You can still buy old stock from China.

The only issue with the seasir.and some other Chinese branded reels with the metal foot after awhile the chrome plating starts to peel off and the aluminium then starts to corroid. The fix for this is to scrap/peel/sand the remaining metal plating and prime.and paint then you won't have anymore issues. So far all the Chinese reels I've owned and used for saltwater that have the metal none painted reel foot all starts to peel including the kastking megatron. If they painted the metal foot instead of plating them then they would be a perfect reel for the price. I'm an Australian living.in the Philippines so I've bought many Chinese branded reels online as I am an avid fisherman. I had teben reels for years both the gts and the gts III. The Kastking Centron is actually a rebranded teben gts. And also the Kastking Megatron is a rebranded teben gts III. These are great value for money reels.and last year's. I still have my first teben 5000 going strong.

I bought 3 of these reels all 6000 series with a 25% discounted sale. All spooled with 28lb 0.50mm mono. I use them specifically on salt water day and night fishing of a pier for Mangrove Snapper using live prawns for bait. They are a good solid reel for their price but they are not really saltwater resistant as advertised I had saltwater splashed into the reverse switch and it eventually rusted the bearing were the brass pinion sits on. I was able to soak the bearings in rust remover solution and oiled it and got it working again. Also the metal piece of steel (return clip) that closes the bail after you cast rusted as well. Both the metal bail return clip and the bearings are not stainless steel but other parts like the spool washers and a few other parts are. Also the reel foot was a bit too thick to fit on my rods reel seat so I had to sand the reel foot back about 1mm off without any issues or reduction of strength. Overall this reel will last many years. The only issue you may have is to replace some rusty bearings at most if they are.not properly lubricated or even better greased up. But over all they are a great reel. You get more reel for your money. As long as you grease/oil it well when you buy it you won't have any issues. I only had one of the 3 reels have rust on the pinion bearing because I never greased and oiled it when I bought it. But the other 2 no rust after using if for weeks in saltwater because I had greased and oiled it before using it. I have Penn,Shimano, Banak, Teben and other branded reels....the bearking Assasin is almost just as good provided you keep it well greased and oiled.

Thankyou for showing this. Considering buying a smaller reel looks very well made. Seasir is getting very good reviews in their baitcasters and this spin reel looks to be made nice. Didn't look like there was much lube/ grease in there. The metal shavings in the drag washes is a little disappointing. Other than that looks very good. Been out for a fish yet?
