XD Literally a 15mm wrench can an will get that out. I learned the same thing while in a pinch in a junkyard that was closing in half an hour fer a 3 day holiday weekend crap.

We thought so too, but that sucker was TORQUED. Ended up welding a long bolt onto it as a lever. That did the trick.

Just did a new/rebuild SBC in my 81 C20. It starts cold before the crank goes one revolution, when it's hot I have to hold the throttle wide open and smell gas. The motor runs fantastic but apparently Holley Brawler carburetors are dog shit according to the local shop.
@rodknockranch2 күн бұрын
That’s interesting. We’ve had really good luck with brawlers.
@big6316Күн бұрын
@@rodknockranch I tried everything according to the instructions and even called Holley's help line to get tips to get the float levels and choke settings right. I finally gave up and went to a guy I know at a local shop. He works on lots of 70s and 80s stuff and he refused to even touch it until I get rid of the Brawler. He said he had the same problems with most that he's tried to adjust.

I also added power brake booster to mine…….night and day difference, best $300 i ever spent on that truck…..if my bench seat wasnt tits id do an obs bucket /console swap like what your has…mine also pulled to the left but it was a collapsed brake hose
@rodknockranch2 күн бұрын
Did the booster off camera, what a difference!! We’re pretty sure those seats came out of an f-150 of some year, they’re absolutely perfect for that truck. Even have lumbar supports!
