Thank you for this amazing video. Taking us on a wonderful journey and showing all the places, the equipment miners used for working, everything that was left behind. It is mind blowing to think what these people had to go through.

I heard you mention check valves but you may have been pointing at shutoffs. I would certainly suggest adding check valves (let's water only go one way) throughout the water lines as they climb to the surface to prevent backflow if pressure ever fluctuates, allowing air in and losing your prime. Without knowing much I would say your biggest issue is air locking the pump and it losing prime which prevents it from pushing water up. For sure replacing the existing lines like the galvanized piping with pex will remove any doubt about corroded piping. Off the top of my head you want a pump in the cistern so that it being submersed will never lose prime. It should feed into a pressure tank at the base of the shaft where it will provide pressurized water to feed into the pump that pushes it up the shaft. From there it should supply a reservoir tank on the surface that has it's own pressure tank and pump system to supply pressurized water the town. This way if the shaft system fails, your surface reservoir is independent and can run off the reserve tank. Depending on the length, you may be able to find a pump powerful enough to submerse in the cistern and make the journey all the way to the surface without a secondary pump. The benefit of this is you can avoid the chance of having the secondary pump outpace the first and create low pressure pockets that locks up the system.

Great update Brett , for your garden and trees build a compost bin and use animal manure I it also get a big plastic barrell fill with water then get a bag full of mixed animal manure to make a tea bag for the barrell leave in the barrell for a time and take off a little of the tea water and mix with a larger amount of water to use on garden .that way the manure water won't burn plants . Also use kitchen wash water filtered through gravel to feed your pond ,where you get overflow plant shrubs .cheers mate from Australia 🇦🇺 👌

You cannotvpull mre water - that is limited to the flowrate into the pool. Unless, reducing the pool level would increase seepage rate. You didn't say why you didn't have water "sometimes". Does the pool get too low?

I've been watch your channel since the beginning. It's great to see your progress so far with the town. Just wondering if you have every thought of using some of the galena to make yourself a crystal radio. Some of the first radios ever make used galena crystals. With the right materials it shouldn't be to hard to make one. There are plenty of "how to videos" on how make one. Could be a fun experiment.

Ok... its just a water system should be simple. First you have a low flow, so either store it at the top or store it at the bottom. My advise would be to store it at the top in a open to the atmosphere tank that is at least 20 or 40 feet above your highest tap. cheaper then building storage underground and the silting that will occur if you dig down there. next you need a pump and yours is rated at 350PSI max which should lift water 800 feet. But max pressure means no flow and if anything is wrong it may not produce that pressure. A plain pump like yours is limited to drawing no more the 32 feet below the pump height. How much drop is there to the pit form the pump? not more the 20' is preferred. if you are limited in funds I would consider a pressure washer pump. They are cheep and provide plenty of pressure. So long as your tank at the top is open to the atmosphere you will not over pressure your pipe. Assuming your pipe is rated to pressure (At least 400PSI) as you did not mention it breaking. Now this is the key. you need a float switch in the water hole. you should be able to get 3 inches or so of height change between on and off with a simple sump pump float. I recommend the pump be at the waters edge, and you should have a foot valve in the tube under the water. I am not sure about the suction but for a few feet elevation you should be good once the system is primed. now just plug your pressure washer into the float switch as you would a sump pump. The pump will run until the water level drops a few inches and then turn off until it refills. In this way you will gradually fill your tank at the op of the hill or wherever it is. You will not increase flow by making the hole in the pit larger. you need a supply for your hotel etc and so do like every town does and use a gravity system with an elevated tank. looking at the drip I estimate a gallon every five minutes or 200 to 300 gallons per day. your tank up top should be 1000 gallons or more to take advantage of time you have no use or little use mid week etc.

Only rubes and the reprobate fall for the Hundreds of millions of years ago,,,didn't happen.. but it makes light for explaining what they really can't without a creator... believe what ever you want, but refrain from ever calling someone a blandish rube until you have washed that man off yourself... James Webb has already explained much for the intellectually honest ..the rest cling to their paradigm... as if their God man is all knowing... the blind and the reprobate minion.... The Flood actually covered the earth, mt. st. Helen's laid every strata down in record time , petrified growing trees in every layer of the strata.. and it goes on and on...do you know how so many believe we evolved from apes? a picture of an ape slowing progressing into a man..but there is no fossil record..No there is not...it would be abundant..it does not exist..but like good soldiers people cling to the absurd becuase like lemmings we think that obviously someone knows something..they don't

I’m an engineer but not the kind you need. However there are wells all over the central Midwest that pull water from a long way down. I believe you’re not using a pump that is correct for your application.

Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage and brussels sprouts are not fans of hot weather. It's better to plant them in early spring or late summer/early fall. Or you can start them inside late winter to get an earlier start for planting out in the spring. Just thinking if that was the raised bed that didn't grow...
