This is not a layout we currently have access to, and we cannot ask the owner as he recently passed away, so we are unsure of the exact measurements, but it is roughly 2' x 6' if memory serves.

Please tell me something, How can a modeler go from NYC,PRR and New Haven right to Conrail. Where is Penn Central? Then, YOU have NS and CSX. Penn Central did happen. I am a PC Fan big time. I hate when modelers skip Penn Central like it never existed. And I would never Model today's Railroad companies, they are plain and boring. No NS, CSX, BNSF or modern Union Pacific. Just 60's and 70's all of the way. The colorful decades of trains.
@NJSntrak3 ай бұрын
This is a modular layout comprised of two model railroad clubs, each of which have members who like to model different railroads, eras, and time periods. Neither club limits the railroad or era choices among their members, and each member runs what they want to run.

You guys did a FANTASTIC JOB modeling the trolley system !!!!!! The street work with the switches is marvelous. I LOVE trolleys, missed them in Brooklyn by 3 years. Now retired I would love to build a layout but the hands don't work like they used to. Keep up the GREAT WORK.

Loved this video. Very realistic trackwork and overhead wire operation. Nice billboard with Reddy Kilowatt. Great night time operation too. Liked how you had cars representing the 19th century, early 20th century and modern PCC. Great work!

Great layout! Looking at the tight turns I was reminded of the signs at North Station, Boston that warned pedestrians to beware of the swing of the cars around the curve

Excellently modeled and operating, HO scale layout! Very nice background music as well. Though it's 12 years later, but I have a question regarding the make of those street lights... Are those some sort of Walters street lights? I'd like to purchase them if they're still available now.

Can you tell me the name of this group and what town?
@NJSntrak7 ай бұрын
This is actually a very complicated answer, the layout presented is owned by Delaware Free-moN, which is primarily just one person, and exists largely at his residence. The layout is largely not set up permanently, and is primarily displayed at train shows. As such there is not a "club layout" to visit or run on, but these modules are put together at train shows and in November for an open house. The club running this channel is New Jersey Southern N Trak, and similarly does not have a home base and is predominantly modular, setting up at train shows around the area. For a list of train shows, see our website: www.njsntrak.us/show-schedule.html

@@NJSntrak thank you so much for that information. It gives me some place to start. And to be on the lookout for the open house or train show set ups.

Cool video. What is cotton brute? Lol. A GE U30 Cx2?? Lol. Cool locomotive
@NJSntrak7 ай бұрын
Cotton Brute is a combination of two Minitrix U30CG shells on an elongated mechanism which was filled with lead weights. The result is this massive locomotive that can pull a 200+ car train on standard N Trak layouts. Cotton Brute was built in the 80s by Jim Fitzgerald, a major player in N Trak, and is currently in the care of the N Rail organization.

A working catenary? Big brass ones on youse guyz! That's a spectacular layout especially with the night run. Are the cobblestones prefab or laid and carved? Thanks!
@NJSntrak8 ай бұрын
The layout is powered by the trolley wire. I am not sure on how the cobblestones were done. One individual who built this passed away, another is in South Dakota now, and the third is hard to get a hold of. We'll see if we can get an answer.

Youz guys is something I would always say only to be corrected by my dad with “ Hughes is a dead chief justice of the Supreme Court . There’s only one city that people say that phrase and it Philadelphia. Actually it can be narrowed down to a few neighborhoods along the river and at an infamous intersection that has the letter’s K&A in its spelling. I’m talking about that neighborhood when everyone I knew as a kid still had a grand parent who spoke with an Irish Brogue; not the disgusting hell hole it’s become today . It breaks my heart seeing my church that woke me up every morning at 6am playing the morning bells for the first mass of the day , sitting a burned out shell of its self .
