Surprise! The car with more horsepower and stickier tires won. If the Elantra N was on the same Cup 2's it could have carried more speed into the turn and got on the power earlier coming out of the turn. The Type R would have still won because of the horsepower difference but I believe it would have been closer.

I bought the Elantra N , wish it was RWD or AWD . Honda dealers thieves for over markup $$$. If they still sell 4 cyl Supra be the Best Buy here

Well, a good race. The natural winner... wins. However, so much talk about the Civic's +R suspension but they forget that it CAN be set in the Individual driving mode (Comfort, Sport or +R). I mean, they did it for the Elantra, but missed it in the Civic Type R?? Weird.

I have both a 2022 N and a 2023 FL5. Each has their pros and cons, but Type R slightly better. Hyundai paint is much better for example.

Type R is a beast no doubt , but Hyundai's N devision is Epic , drove an i20N on a track ,what a fun little car. Even the Ioniq 5 N is the elctric car for enthusiasts , Well done Hyundai!

Not a fair comparison, they should had used the auto which is the fastest version of the elantra N. Dual clutch trans will accelerate faster and the extra boost gets it up to 280+ HP for a few seconds that could had helped on the way back...

I think it would have made a very interesting comparison, especially since there is a 10 thousand dollar difference in price between these two cars, to test the dual clutch.
