I’m 55. Play lots of golf. I had lower back surgery at the beginning of March. L4, L5, S1 Laminectomy. PT and rehab has really helped. We’ve really been focusing on my hip mobility, range of motion, stretching the flexors etc. Everything affects each other. Been enjoying your Vlogs. Cheers from Seattle. I Love Vancouver. Been up there dozens of times.

Vancouver is a great place but i disagree it’s where you’ll have the best quality of life. The rain really gets you down and even if you tolerate it, I find I was much happier living in Calgary where it’s sunny every day and people tend to be much nicer in places that get more sun. Not to mention the cost of living in Van being so high that really brings down your quality of life easily by needing to live in a crappy apartment or having to commute from far outside of the city for your job. I personally feel at the moment, vancouver is not worth the hype.

don't move to Van or lower mainland it sucks (I say this with a smirk because I lived here all my life I just want to be greedy , prefer to not have more people here lol) . yes mountains it used t o be that a person could surf or go water skying and then drive up to the mountain and snow sky in the same day here . also fire season air quality can get pretty bad you go for a walk around the block come inside and can feel the film from all the particles in the air attached to your skin. yes very expensive to live I barely live pay to paycheck and was just let go hopefully find more security work that pays good enough to pay my rent and other bills food and such. I was only driving to and from work which is about 25 km both ways4 days a week, and it cost me 200 on average for fuel. then taxes, people that come from say Alberta will get a huge shock because of the taxes yes homeless and people with drug and other substance abuse issues are rampant all over the place from van - lower mainland - into the Fraser valley and beyond , as security guard I see it everywhere, the legalization of open drug use and the drug use places also made thing much worse bring in even more homeless from other provinces given a bus ticket to leave ( its cheaper to just give them a ticket than to pay then a monthly check) to come to BC better winter climate here doesn't help much hehe

One major reason why you don’t see homeless etc in west van and north van compared to other parts is that there aren’t any services there. Downtown east side believe it or not has one of the highest concentrations of government services, NGOs and charities for these people hence they’re all around there. It’s why everyone gets pissed off when there’s potential news of a service or low income housing proposal in certain neighbourhoods. It’s unfortunate that we are taking in tourist visa refugees by the plane load and not fixing Canada for Canadians
@trav4oilers6 күн бұрын

INSTEAD OF WASTING TIME ON SOME GARBAGE 300 DOLLAR PER WEEK LEAGUE, FOCUS ON SOMETHING IN HOCKEY OPERATIONS, OR SOME OTHER AREA OF THE GAME.. HONESTLY, THE SKILL LEVEL IS JUST NOT THERE TO BE ANY KIND OF PRO... FOCUS ON SOMETHING ATTAINABLE, BEING A PLAYER IS DELUSIONAL.... AND PLAYING IN THE FED IS NOT PRO HOCKEY.. MOST OF THE PLAYERS THERE ARE FORMER D3.. OR LOW LEVEL JUNIORS.... ITS A VERY LOW LEVEL OF SKILL

TRAV, YOU HAVE THE LOVE OF THE GAME FEW PEOPLE HAVE... THERE IS A PLACE FOR YOU SOMEWHERE IN THIS GREAT SPORT... I TELL YOU A QUICK STORY... MY SON WAS ON A PEE WEE TEAM YEARS AGO WITH THE SON OF AN NHL PLAYER.. WE WERE STANDING BY THE GLASS, AND HE ASKED ME WHICH PLAYER WAS MY SON? HE TOLD ME, HE HAS A FUTURE. I ASKED WHICH PLAYER WAS HIS SON? HE RESPONDED, HE IS PLAYING FOR FUN, HE IS NOT VERY GOOD... HIS SON TOOK A JOB AS AN ASSISTANT COACH IN THE USHL, JUNIOR A LEAGUE, THEN A HEAD COACHING JOB, HE IS NOW DIRECTOR OF HOCKEY OPERATIONS FOR THE USHL. THE POINT IS THERE IS A PLACE FOR EVERYONE WHO REALLY LOVES THE GAME... FIND YOUR PLACE IN THE GAME TRAV... FIND YOUR PLACE.. ITS THERE, YOU JUST HAVE TO FIND IT... MAYBE IN A VIDEO ROOM, FOR A TEAM.... FIND YOUR SPOT...

I think Matthews ended a lot of goalie dreams. To be clear, this isn't a Matthews is the greatest, fanboy stuff. Goaltending was for years very much about prediction. Be in the right spot, know the play, know where to be and know when a player is going to pass and when they are going to shoot. Matthews changed all that and not because of what he can do, but because of what he taught others to do. There's a lot of players in the show you can't predict, that goes out the window. Sure prediction is still a part of the game, but now it's more important to be able to react. That's gotta be a huge shift. I would bet that a lot of guys who were really good at reaction but not as much able to predict have switched places with the prediction guys on who is looking at them and they are being looked at a lot more seriously. I could be wrong though. I'm very interested in what people who know think about that.
@trav4oilers9 күн бұрын
his change up release really did change the game. It makes life as a goalie much more difficult!
