Outstanding performance. I am trying to listen to everything they have done. It suits my taste exactly. It is simple but complex and is authentic!

So good! Oh man, that was awesome. I discovered the joys of bluegrass years ago, and performances like this remind me why I love it so much. Well done!

Terrific! A brilliant performance of a cool tune, including the syncopated rhythm, which Dan makes look effortless (as usual), especially in the compactness and economy of movement in his right hand. (I’ve known Dan since the late 70s, when I was living in Kalamazoo and he was a meter reader for a utility co in Elkhart IN, and I’ve seen & played with him many times over the years and decades. The energy, enthusiasm and love of music that emanates from Dan’s every pore never fails to be infectious and bring out the best in himself and everyone around him.) Kudos on - and thanks for - the fine filming, editing, and sound. 👏👏👏🎵✨️

When i smell woodsmoke and sweetgrass , and hear a fiddle playing , dont Nail my moccasins to the floor , i got to do the Red River Jig.

In the late hours after a full day of playing and teaching old-time music, I dabble in oscillators. I love drone, repetition, and variation in both genres!

@@OldTimeTikiParlour I really love that. Variation is the spice of life. I practice my fiddle to a drone. I could see combining old-time music with modular synth being a really cool sound!

What do you mean by "our music"? You do realize it is music from slaves forced with violence from Africa played on an african instrument? Yes created in America but with a history dark as it comes
@tastas38803 ай бұрын

@petherjohansson8728 I think the banjo was the akaaton or something in Africa. I don't think that this style of banjo was in Africa yes a African American slave made the banjo of memory, but he made it in America and played it a BBQ. So don't let the government fool you and keep American down with dark history. My friend, every country has blood on the soil. Remember the past, but don't dwell too long, friend. This is our music American made American played American soul made it.
