Refreshing to see someone actually play a round from the tips. I've played Tidewater 3 times, course is very difficult, especially when the wind is up.

Hi Carson, I like your content and footage a lot. Also your play is fun and very useful to see. I'm starting with filming my courses in the Netherlands too. I'm just experimenting. I use a Go Pro Hero 11 and I was wondering if you would help me out. First of all I was wondering if you're using the same camera or similar. And if so are you willing to share with me your camera settings? Because if look to my own footage I see a difference in the sharpness of the footage. Thank you in advance for your help and of course no hard feelings if you don't want to share your settings. I understand it completely. Greetings and good luck from the Netherlands.

Rhodes Ranch is less premium public but a nicer course. All three Paiute is better than all! It was god country at Paiute. Boulder Creek was not as nice. Not well-maintained or as pretty. Of course, thiS is just my point of view.

Spyglass is a much more challenging, scenic and better course than Pebble Beach. I’ve played both around 15 times each and love Spyglass much more. Don’t get me wrong, Pebble is an iconic, beautiful course, but for a single digit handicap golfer, my money is on Spyglass!

Great golf and great production. Only thing I’d say is to adjust your body language, it’s slightly distracting. I’d bet your shoot the round of your life when you don’t mope around acting frustrated after every shot (especially on the greens). Don’t forget golf is fun, and you’re probably near scratch and in the top 1% so enjoy the ride! Philippians 4:8

I'm playing Spyglass next week and this is great with all your notes, thank you! To help I've collected them and posting here to help others : Hole 1: Finding the fairway off of this tee is key. Avoid the bunkers short of the green, bail out to the right. Hole 2: Long iron off the tee and then use the slope left of the green to let your ball roll down towards the green. Hole 3: Wind will play a major factor in club selection. Play for the centre of the green. Hole 4: One of the wildest greens in all of golf. Read the break on the green, then double it before you hit your putt. Hole 5: Middle green is usually perfect. Avoid going long on this back to front sloping green. Hole 6: Green breaks severely back to front, bombs away off the tee. Hole 7: If you can’t reach it in 2, just layup short of the water. If you can reach in 2, stay right and don’t go long. Hole 8: Be careful aiming at the flag if it is on the right hand side. Middle green is always the play here. Hole 9: Add one extra club on the approach shot. Hole 10: Hole plays decently short. Don’t be afraid to hit a long iron or wood off the tee. A driver has a small landing area here. Hole 11: Be aware of how far you can hit your drive off of this tee. Don’t go through the whole fairway. Hole 12: Plays a bit like #12 at Augusta. Hole seems to have a swirling wind that can be tough to judge club selection. Green will slope towards water. Hole 13: Big drive off the tee will leave a mid iron in. This can play as an extremely long hole if it is into the wind. Hole 14: Shouldn’t be reachable in 2 for most players. Stay short of the water on your approach to set up a good birdie opportunity. Hole 15: Short Par 3 and this will play down hill as well. Middle of the green is key, but the green will break more than it looks! Hole 16: Tee shot is blind, a cut is perfect play off the tee. Second shot will play the full yardage. Hole 17: Iron into the middle should give you a wedge in. Don’t get greedy! Hole 18: Green will slope extreme back to front. Stay below the hole.

at 25:21 you hit the ball out of bounds and take a drop, but according to local rule E-5, this should be a TWO stroke penalty, not a 1 stroke penalty which you scored

Interesting video. played Spyglass once about 9 years ago. It was not my favorite. It’s a typical Robert Trent Jones design. Your game looked much better than the +8 you shot. But I believe you were playing the back tees, which makes the course play pretty long. Good video.

Greens at TPC HP are extremely slow. Not sure why keep it that way. Possibly due to the amount of play the course gets but for a TPC course its too slow. btw...good round!
