I think it depends on surges.. which used to be irrelevant for the “meta” conversation, but now they’re in practically everything so it’s something to consider

too much is missing from these tests. Surges weren't accounted for on a few, no proper rotations for edge transit or apex, transcendence boosts sword regen so you can spam heavy attacks, no lightweight swords, only adding banner to one test when it can apply to all, and like a million other ergo sum combinations

Isn’t the argent blade kinda unrealistic? No way you’ll always be able to have max orbs for a DPS phase. You’ll definitely lose out on some and be going moments where you are armor charge-less. Maybe in shorter phases it might work out better, but the full 30 sec ones idk. Not everyone will be Well popping 3 orbs for you on command and in dungeons you’ll only have 3 people making orbs anyway during damage.

They're better... if the dmg phase is like 15 minutes long lol. The dmg ceiling is higher due to ammo, but the DPS is way worse than GL and RL.

I was testing swords on the first warlords ruin boss. I could get 1.7-1.8mil solo with only one totem for time, the problem is the sword has zero ammo. So its dogwater solo, but in a team with heavy generation its pretty nice

great video and testing but i would like to say in the case of rockets and especially the gl you can pair that with izi or cloudstrike/caydes pretty easily to add more damage

I suspect what you want to do is run an aggressive frame ergo with wolfpack and trance - big boy slam, swap to other sword, then swap back to reproc. pretty sure swords build energy while sheathed now soyou can just whip it out for the big aggressive trance slam for burst in the rotation. idk, it's still a sword, shit's weird, may or may not work

"swords are better" yet jump off before end of DPS phase. you're testing the total damage output of Apex and Edge yet using swords through the entire damage phase. this is not informative

If it was Solar Surge, wouldn’t Apex’s damage amount to around 2.1 mil without? Also doesn’t seem like Wolfpack Rounds are spawning on aggressive frame swords RIP.

I would love to actually see a video showing swords with full rotations (eg. using nova/strand super and using izanagis or witherhoard) versus edge transit and apex with their full rotations using the same supers and special weapons.
