Players like Wilt and Russell were at the end of their careers when I started watching hoops. I love the occasional clip that comes out showing how insanely athletic these guys were.

This is ny opinion. The top 10% when it comes to anything - Business (Rocafeller, Gates, Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, etc.), Science (Einstein, Newton, etc.), Sports, will be the top in any era. Sure you have modern technology, better training, better equipment, better facilities, etc., but the ones who got better, don’t make much of a difference. Sure maybe the bench got better or hell, maybe everyone on the team except one guy, but that one guy is the one who makes all the difference - Wilt, West, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Jordan, Olajuwon, Duncan, Shaq, etc.

Bill Russell in a time machine to the 2000's with modern training, coaching, equipment, medicine, shoes, etc. would've been Lebron James + Giannis + Ben Wallace + Dennis Rodman. 😳

I am so shocked in watching this video and discovering that despite how good and super athletic Wilt Chamberlain was, Kareem Abdul Jabbar just SCHOOLED him, outplayed him outscored him, and made it look easy!

Wilt could have played any position in football in his era.

Yeah, he is high in the air, but we all shouldn’t forget how tall, this dude was… so he ain’t have to jump 50‘‘ to get his head on rim level…

You gonna have to give examples of players that were plumbers and firemen. Like give me some names, do you know any of them or are you just repeating what someone told you

I really appreciate the effort in re-creating this game. It’s a shame there was no footage of the actual game, but it’s not surprising, either. For those that think it never happened, simply because of that, you need to do your research and understand where the league was in those days. We don’t have any footage of Dave Thompson/George Gervin scoring 73 and 63 on the final day of the season in 1978, either. I never hear anyone acting like those games didn’t happen. Why is that?

all of this and still no footage of the 100 point game

This is why it's so hard to explain to the younger generations how good and how dominant Wilt Chamberlain was. Unless you were there to see it in person, it is hard to fathom a man of his size and capabilities. The reactions I get from younger people when I tell them that Shaquille O'Neal was not the strongest nor the most athletic center is hilarious. I was around to witness Wilt Chamberlain when he played for the Los Angeles Lakers. At that time, he was 310 lb solid.
