All of the games seem interesting in their own way. I would definitely play all of them but I don't know if I'd want to own them all. It surprised me how interested I am in España 1936. I have never played many war themed games and I usually don't care much for this theme but there's something about the game that speaks to me. Honey Buzz has been on my wishlist and has been one of my most wanted games for a long time. I think I'll finally get it in Essen in two months. If possible with the expansion. I love the aesthetics in this game so much. Atlantis Rising is new to me and I was hooked from the first picture I saw of it. This looks right up my alley theme-wise. I will have to watch some more videos about the game but thanks for bringing it to my attention. The White Castle was EVERYWHERE in Essen last year. I don't know why but that made my head go "ugh, overrated" so I didn't even look at it. Over the last year I have seen quite some videos about the game and even though I'm not going out of my way to play it, I still got more and more interested in trying it. Thanks for the short reviews, the were very informative and helpful!

Sounds like you got more games on your list now to try! 😁 The White Castle is definitely worth a try!
I definitely agree that Monstrosities is a hassle to set up because of the way both rule books are laid out. It also doesn't help that you have to separate the base game afterward if you intend to try a different scenario the next time you play. However, even with all that, I loved the game so much more with the new add ons. Before, we always found ourselves favoring the same councilors and it also seemed like we could only ever let one person focus on the library. Now I feel like we get to utilize/play with so much more of the game instead of only seeing a fraction of it. I also just got my copy of Fall Flavors and can't wait to play it because of your video. I was also on the fence about White Castle before, but I think I'll grab it with my next purchase.

There are SO many GenCon releases this year. From your list I think I'm most interested in Harvest. But in general... I think my top 5 are Rock Hard 1977 Fromage Café Baras River of Gold Age of Comics: The Golden Years

I've lived in FL twice and I do not miss the humidity because it makes the heat so much more miserable/unbearable. That being said, I do miss season passes to Universal and Disney, cheaper seafood, and Anna Maria Island. Your list mostly matches mine, but I am also super excited about Maki Master (remake of Wasabi), Fromage, Meadow: Adventure Book and Pirates of Maracaibo.

I went to a Star wars unlimited pre-release gameplay. I never had played in a TCG casual play, but it was fun. You'll love Fleet the Dice Game. Also...Elf Creek just so beautiful how did you resist @jodie from opening the boxes?!

Now... After watching quite a few of your videos and having decided to make myself a comfortable little burrow here, I feel like it's time to say hello properly. So... Hello! I'm Alex, 35 years old and I'm a game designer from a small town in Germany. I'm still new to the hobby and I'm watching as much content on games as I can to learn everything about different mechanisms, trends and about the hobby in general. My favorite part is the community so I'm trying my best to be a somewhat valuable part of it or at least not an annoying one that feels out of place. Here are some boardgame facts about me: 1) The game that got me into the hobby and my favorite of the few I own is Everdell. 2) My most wanted game at the moment is Life in the Amazonia. Not only am I fascinated by the whole concept, it also has Toucan mee... wooden figures. And Otters! 3) The game I like playing the most at the moment is Dog Park. It is just such a relaxing game and it has SO many cute dogs. I always try to get my precious wire-haired dachshund whenever I can because he's my favorite. Now to the video... I really like many games you got and I think the travel chess set was such a thoughtful gift. I wish I had friends who cared about boardgames or my love for them 😂 The one I would be most excited to play (because I have been since I first saw it) is Honey Buzz. Oh and Can't Stop was a temporary obsession of mine this year. I even won a tournament on BGA 😂 I'm sure we'll "see" each other in the next video 😊
@BoardGamePerspective23 күн бұрын
Hey! Nice to “meet” you! Sounds like we have some similar tastes with Everdell and Otters!!!🦦

“And the obsession has begun!” LOL I think you’ll both enjoy the White Castle. I just pulled it out last night to relearn. 😞 And have Match of the Century that I still need to play! Love Paolo Mori’s games. He did do Blitzkrieg but not Watergate. He has one called Caesar that I HIGHLY recommend. It’s also a 2-player only game. It’s better than Blitzkrieg IMO and a highly original design.
@PaulMazzoni23 күн бұрын
And Can’t Stop is a classic that will never leave the collection!
