Really cool programming! Is it possible to trigger the particles with a clean and very simple moving video image? Like if your hand and arm were on video with a black background or even a transparent background. Is there a way to input that and get the reaction from the particles?

Yeah you just need a way to separate whatever you want the particles to be effected by from the background, so if it was transparent you would already have that, and if it was on a black background you could use a threshold to get just the arm

You’d have to talk to Josef about that one! He sorta built the materials into the t3d surface component , so it might be planned for a future update

Hey mate! If you have access to an LED wall then you can just output from your computer via HDMI to the LED controller. Let me know if you have any further questions, and good luck on your journey

Combination of a few things! Chroma key top to select points by color, threshold tops on the rgb channels to select an area by xyz bounds, then have a look at b2bk tutorial for a way to select points by proximity to an xyz coordinate

Yeah no worries, just grab a chroma key, then you can use hue, saturation, and value sliders to select the colors you want. The alpha of the chroma key is your color mask

Hi Ben, great tutorial but I'm getting lost at 45:32 just after you've reordered the UV map to the RGB channels. After doing this I'm instancing a rectangle which... is what I would expect, while you're instancing the kinect through the alpha channel. I've watched this multiple times now but I can't figure out where I've gone wrong. Any ideas? Thank you!
